I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a day trip to the Libearty Sanctuary Zarnesti and Bran Castle, known as Dracula’s Castle, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide than Alex.
Throughout the trip, he effortlessly engaged with every member of the group, creating an inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere. His ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds made the journey all the more enriching as we shared stories, laughter, and memorable moments together.
During our car rides, Alex shared captivating stories and historical insights about Romania.
His social skills, punctuality, knowledge of history, excellent driving, and fantastic music playlist made an unforgettable day trip. If you are seeking an extraordinary journey and a genuine connection with your guide, I highly recommend Alex. He took the time to address our needs and interests, ensuring that everyone felt valued and included throughout the journey. Also enjoyed the recommended Romanian food. I can't wait to embark on another adventure with him in the future.

Superb experience - the highlight of our trip and not to be missed. The Bear Sanctuary is a one of a kind experience. You get pretty close to dozens of bears, and a couple of wolves and deer if you're lucky. It's not the main attraction but there are also a few gorgeous dogs running around. Onto Bran Castle, pretty stunning as per the pictures you'll see. Inside are plenty of animations on Romanian folklore (centaurs etc.), Vlad the Impaler, and his lineage. We went in April and everywhere was covered in snow. Alex, our driver was very pleasant and amicable, picked us up directly from our apartment, and even helped us find a shop with UK to EU power adaptors on the journey home. I would highly recommend this trip if you are visiting Bucharest for a few days.

Alex was wonderful. He was pleasant, on time, and quote gregarious. He was talkative when we wanted to be and also astute enough to allow us to nap when we wanted to (3 hour drive at 7am!!).
When at the castle, Alex didn't just send us to the tourist trap of a restaurant nearby, he gave us the inside track on a local food stand that provided awesome food for under 10$ a person.
Overall the trip was fantastic and made more so by Alex's skill as a tour guide.

Wonderful trip - extremely comfortable, knowledgeable tour guide Alex who brought us to two wonderful attractions - the bear sanctuary is unmissable and Bran castle was fabulous.
Lunch afterwards was really authentic and a brilliant end to the tours before Alex safety dropped us back to our hotels.
10/10 - recommend!

From the beginning to the end of the tour, everything was just as expected, in a positive manner, of course! Alex is a great guy with a cheerful and joyful attitude, willing to ensure that every member of the group enjoys their well deserved leisure trip!

Absolutely amazing day, our host Alex kept us updated even b4 we left the UK, the day is long but worth every minute the views are fantastic the bear sanctuary was very interesting and dracular Castle was fun

It was a great day and we had a blast during the tour. The highlight of the tour was obviously the LiBEARty Sanctuary. The association has some extraordinary dedicated people who have managed to create the largest bear sanctuary in Europe. The tour is extremely well organised and even if it takes two hours from Bucharest to there, it is well worth it. The castle tour was very nice too, and the food was a unique experience! Go on the guide's recommendations! You will not be disappointed!

The bear sanctuary is a great place to visit. I highly recommend it. I can honestly say that Alex is a very good driver, he has a great taste in music :) and he is a very nice guy.

I never knew there was bears over here, so had to visit. The sanctuary are trying to undo the wrong humans have done to these poor creatures for many years. Heartbreaking stories along with Happy ending. Please visit as they need financial support . I've adopted a bear called tinker as every little helps. The people work tirelessly to provide a safe haven for these bears and are so passionate about the work they do. Thank you for such a great insight of the sanctuary 👏❤

We have this tour booked in 2 weeks but now Brans Castle says it is closed until the 31st March can you advise?

Bran Castle will be closed until the end of March but the sanctuary will be opened. Instead of Bran Castle we can do Brasov city with The Black Church. Be safe. More details in private.

The entrance fee is 55 lei (12 euro) from Tuesday to Friday and 65 lei (14 euro) during the weekend. Is a tremedous experience, I guarantee! Feel free to book the tour!
