Great day. Going up into the lake was great, several types of monkeys showed up, and the visit to the Wounaan tribe was very cool. Highly recommend. Jorge was a great guide as well.

It was the best last moment decision on my Panamaim travel.
Gonzalo ("Gonzo") took great care and with his partner, the boat took us to on the Panama Canal beside the major ships. They got the monkeys to the boat and we saw all three types.
Gonzo's shard is full of knowledge about the local village, habits, customs, and background. It was a fun day and it started with a great guide.

We did the monkey tour with the guide Gonzo, he was really friendly. The tour was amazing, boat across the canal, near the big ship, we saw 3 different monkey species (very closely), and then the visit of the indian village was great. All good!

Gonzo took us on the Monkey canal tour, and it was fantastic. He is very personable. Visitors from other tours benefited from his efforts to entice the monkeys to come out. In a very hot and humid climate this is important since visitors can lose interest quickly and become irritable.
The Indian Village tour and short nature jaunt in the jungle was a nice balance of knowledge, past/present culture, and attention span. Bathrooms were clean. Bring bug repellent.
Recommend booking in advance to allow ample confirmation of location and time pickup. Van had Barefoot Panama signage which made pickup easier.

Had originally booked a couple of private tours with Barefoot Panama back in October. Had to cancel due to unforeseen events. Barefoot Panama was extremely flexible and let me rebook for April. Booked two private tours in April, and thoroughly enjoyed both. The half day tour of Panama City allowed as to get a real sense of the city and its culture, and the Monkey island tour was fantastic! Would certainly recommend this tour company to anyone looking at touring Panama.

This tour is great, we saw multiple monkeys and even baby crocs! Gonzo is the best guide and my second tour with him. Would definitely recommend this tour and company.

Our guide, Gonzo, was unquestionably the absolute best!!! His amazing knowledge of all things Panama (history, architecture, politics, food, peoples, etc) was incredible. We enjoyed the tour of Monkey Island because of all the info he was able to give us--clearly they have no control over how active the monkeys are on any given day (which we did have the little guys jump on our boat), but it was all the info Gonzo was able to give us about any question we had about the canal, history, culture, EVERYTHING that made the day so awesome. This was our second tour we took with Barefoot Panama (we also did the Panama Canal and City tour which was also great with Jorge). Both days we were picked up right at the time we were told at our hotel. The vans were very clean and comfortable with AC and seatbelts fully functional (if you've traveled in Latin America, you'll understand ;-)). I would not hesitate to book any tour with this company.

loved this experience - it was a great way to orient in Panamá City. The canal is fascinating, monkeys cute, and crocodiles freaky. Gonzo was extremely knowledgeable and interesting, we appreciated his take on the world.

We loved our tour guide Jorge! He really persisted in finding the monkeys and we got to feed some. The Indian village was a unique experience to see how the people live. I highly recommend Jorge and this tour!

Gonzo, our guide, was incredible. He was so personable and knowledgeable about the monkeys and Indian village. He was able to answer every question we threw at him about the tour and Panama in general. We found all the monkey species and he made sure everyone on the tour could locate them and feed them if they wanted.

Can we be picked up from lake gutan ferry boat? And dropped in colon at the end by 7 pm? We r on a cruise ship...

Hi, sorry I missed you. They could probably pick you up at the Gatun ferry dock (they did this with a couple of people), but they wouldn't drop you off in Colon...you would have to take a taxi or Uber. The tour finished after lunch about 2 PM.
