Had the best time here making my own peice! Elmer and Carmecita were amazing! They helped every step of the way while also giving us complete control of our pieces. We got to take home gorgeous unique jade jewelry. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something to do in Antigua. It was so much fun!

Elmer and carmencita were absolutely amazing. They helped us every step of the way. They made the experience so wonderful. We made gorgeous pieces of authentic jade jewellery. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family!

This was SO much fun! Everyone was so nice, especially since I was late! You get the opportunity to learn more about Guatemala's jade history in their museum tour and then carve and make a pendant out jade ( I chose lavendar jade because it can only be found in Guatemala! ) I highly recommend Elmer (we had a LOT of fun! ) I will probably do this again sometime. :D The only warning is that if you are not staying in Antigua, it can be a lot of traffic getting there if you go Thurs- Sunday, but especially on the weekend. (I came from the capital, it took 2.5 hours to go 35 miles, but hey, no traffic on the way back!) I'd suggest going Mon - Weds. Other perks: It is just two blocks from the main plaza and near a few really good resteraunts!

We spent a lot of time here. The tour itself was informative. However after there’s a big sales area to buy products. Spent an hour sitting and waiting for 2-3 people to shop.

This entire experience was phenomenal. My son and his grandma actually went in December and unfortunately grandma had a medical episode and had to get taken to the hospital. The whole staff was above and beyond that day, especially Carmencita, for which we will forever be grateful. We went back this time as a family and Carmencita and Elmer were absolutely the best. The experience could not have been better! They were super patient, helpful, and full of knowledge. Highly recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the jade carving workshop at Casa Del Jade. Carmencita and Elmer were phenomenal! They expertly guided us through the process of making our own jade piece. All of us were thrilled with the outcome. This workshop is truly hands on and you get to do it all, but they will assist you if you have any difficulties, ensuring you have a piece you are proud of at the end. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed the Jade Carving Workshop. Carmencita and Elmer are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge about jade. Carmencita gave me a very interesting tour of the museum and both of them were very patient with me in explaining how to work the jade. I learned a lot but also had fun doing the workshop. I highly recommend taking it.

I loved the jade carving workshop. I could select the piece of jade I wanted to work with, which basic design I wanted to carve, and whether to make a pendant, keychain or magnet. The time flew by! Carmencita and Elmer were so helpful, and I ended up with a beautiful piece of jewellry.

Cuando llegué al museo, estaba emocionada. Sentí mucho amor y curiosidad, creativo y conectado a la tierra. I visited Antigua twice, both times for about a week, and going to el Casa del Jade was my favorite thing I did in this city - one of my favorite experiences on the whole trip! Carmen and Elmor helped me as much as I wanted/needed, while letting me experiment and create mostly on my own. They were willing to do more of the work necessary to cut, sand, and polish the piece, but did not take it personally when I said I would rather do it myself. Cuando llegue en Antigua el segundo ocasión, visité la tienda solamente porque quieré ver a Carmen. Un muy especial lugar, especialmente me encanté el tour del museo después de creé mi collar. Aprendí mucho sobre el país y la piedra jade. En serio, que rico! I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to lean into their artistic side and take home something special that was made by your own hands. From choosing the exact piece of jade, based on color and size, to polishing with diamond dust, I felt amazed. Todos los días, me pongo mi collar y penso sobre la experiencia especial en Antigua, Guate. Muchas muchas gracias Carmen y Elmor!
