Our driver Marin and our guide Igor were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
Igor‘s English skills were IMMACULATE.
He was an amazing guide. Dubrovnik itself is absolutely worth visiting and I was incredibly thankful for Igor‘s advise to walk along the city walls regardless of the entry fees. He also told us how long we will roughly need to do this walk which made it easier to plan the free time we had there.
Also, the whole organization of this tour was just perfection.

My husband and I had a lovely time on this trip to Dubrovnik. We were picked up from Split (where we were staying) at 7:00am. Our tour guide was Andre (sorry if spelt incorrectly!) He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed listening to him on the bus journey there and while we were doing the walking tour. He was a cool, chilled guy. The tour lasted around 40 mins, then we were given free time to explore ourselves which worked great for us.
Highly recommend walking the walls while you're there, even though it's pricey, it's worth it!
Overall, very smooth and well organised tour!

Today (27 Aug 2022) we took our second tour in two days with Portal Day Tours. Igor was our guide yesterday and again today, and was excellent both times. The driver, Ivan, was also great. The Dubrovnik tour is well worth the three hour bus ride each way from Split. Igor is intimately familiar with Dubrovnik and gave us a great tour. As with the Mostar tour, the itinerary was well balanced with the guided tour lasting about an hour and then a few hours for us to explore individually. Great tour once again. Thank you!

Really well organised trip to Dubrovnik with our lovely tour guide! It was a small group and everyone got involved with the trip. Plenty of time to explore Dubrovnik, visit the wall and the charming cafes! would recommend!

Our small mini van met us promptly at 6.25 am!!! to drive us to Split for the coach to Dubrovnik. Everyone found a seat and off we went....in an air-conditioned coach. Our driver Steipe, sorry for bad spelling, was a master at negotiating the narrow roads and our guide Igor was a wealth of knowledge! 3 hour drive to Dubrovnik with stops along the way. This was an amazing tour and great value for the money.

The old town is very interesting, a lot of history. Our guide Andre (Andrew) is very good, during the 4 hours drive, he explained the history of Croatia.
The town is very beautiful but weather was extremely hot at 38 degrees. We took a boat ride out which is very nice.
The con about this trip is the bust ride to and flow takes 8 hours from Split where we stayed and the bus aircon was not working, everyone was complaining because weather was hot and the air in the bus was also hot. For the price is a bit high as nothing was included exclude the guide and the bus ride.

It was really a nice tour to Dubrovnik with tour leader Andrey who give us a conplete
and clear story about Dubrovnik ,Yugoslavia before and other things you can go by
yourself around Split.
We have enough time to explore the city, the wall and even try the local fruit on the

Sorry just couldn't resist getting in the GOT reference as that's one of this city's most recent claims to fame.
Needless to say our day tour of Dubrovnik with Portal Tours was far from a 'walk of shame' and more of an epic adventure hosted by Igor, whose witty commentary and extensive knowledge of the city kept you enthralled. He was brilliant!
Dubrovnik itself was swamped with visitors making it difficult to truly enjoy the sights and sounds of the place but we still managed to explore its winding streets, beautiful cathedral in the time we had.
To get a better feel for the place, visitors may want to consider doing their trip to Dubrovnik with an overnight stay rather than as a day tour then you can explore the city early in the morning before the cruise ship crowds arrive.
Highly recommend Portal Tours - one of the best days out I've had in a long time.

During our holiday in Split we had the pleasure of going on two tours with Portal Days tours, the Dubrovnik Day Trip and the Plitvice Lakes Day, both of which were AMAZING! We had the dream team Igor and Tiko for both our tours. Igor is incredibly knowledgable and funny, mixing a great blend of facts and humour which made the tour so exciting and entertaining!
The tour to Dubrovnik itself was perfect, a long drive of around 3 hours each way but with the rest stops and Igor entertaining us with interesting facts, witty humour and highlighting points of interest along the way it didn't feel as long as it was. After our guided tour (of around an hour), we had plenty of free time to explore Dubrovnik, get food, walk the city walls and visit Fort Lovrijenac.
We booked through Viator.com which made it so easy and stress free. From booking the tour we had regular communication with Portal Tours which was reassuring and provided us with all the information we needed.
We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tours/excursions whilst staying in Split! Thank you Igor and Tiko for giving us such unforgettable experiences!

I would imagine so. Just obviously you’re paying for a return journey so would have to let the travel guide know not to wait for you. Or guide was very charismatic and knowledgeable so would still recommend. Great price.
