The tour of Split Jelena gave us was amazing. She provided a wealth of information about the history of Dalmatia and of Diocletian’s Palace from its construction through the present day. Everyone, including our ten- and eleven-year-old children, was fascinated throughout the tour. Jelena answered our son’s many questions. Understanding the amazing and rich history of Split, including its architecture and development over the centuries, deepened our appreciation for its aesthetic beauty. Jelena herself is a delightful person and she kept the stories incredibly interesting start to finish. Split has a remarkable and unique history which no visitor should miss out on. I highly recommend Jelena’s tour.

What an absolutely amazing tour! Jelena is such a great guide. She is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly has such passion for both history and the city of Split. It felt like we were being led around the Palace and city by a good friend. Highly recommend booking a tour with Jelena!!

We booked Yelena for a walking tour of Split for our cruise to Croatia and she was fantastic! Met us early at the Pier so we had plenty of time to see the city. She was so knowledgeable about Split, the Diocletian Palace, and the neighboring areas. We saw and learned so much more than going by ourselves, including seeing the underground excavations of the palace and the cathedral. She also took us to the Fruit and Fish markets and some of thr newer areas of Split--with complimentary olive oil, chocolate, and grape tastings! Talking with her felt like a friendly conversation and the small private group was perfect. We already want to return to Croatia for another tour!

We loved our morning walking tour of Split with Jelena. It couldn’t have been easier to work with her: she promptly replied to our emails and met us at the dock when our ship arrived. She is warm, engaging, professional and so enjoyable to be with. She is a native of Split, and speaks perfect English as she was educated in England. We loved her insight to the history, architecture and culture of the area. The tour was paced perfectly, she navigated the sometimes crowded areas with ease, and she shared with us a few restaurant recommendations to return to for lunch. You won’t find a better guide!

Jelena was an amazing and accommodating tour guide of Split. She was very engaging to the four (!!) kids that were on the tour with ages ranging from 4 to 9. She showed a side of Split that none of us really knew about.
I highly recommend her, especially if you have little ones and you're concerned that a "regular" walking tour is too fast or not engaging enough.

We loved our walking tour of Split and Diocletian's Palace with Jelena. While you always expect your private tour guide to be knowledgeable, their style sets them apart. Jelena was engaging, funny and easy to be around. We enjoyed our time with her. All her recommendations were spot on (her favorite chocolate and gelato shops, restaurants and ‘must-sees’). I would highly recommend booking with Jelena!

This was very possibly the most enjoyable private tour I've ever taken (and I've taken quite a few, on various continents). You expect your guide to be knowledgeable and informative, but Jelena, with her enthusiasm, sense of humour, engaging personality, infectious smile and unscripted stop offs for fresh fruit in the market, and chocolate made learning about old Split a rare joy. Her recommendations ( particularly the Mestrovic Gallery) were also spot on. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

Our walking tour of Split and the Palace with Jelena was our favorite walking tour during our 1-month trip in Croatia! She was super flexible with our group of 5 adults and was so easy to communicate with before, during, and after our tour. She nailed the perfect balance of storytelling with dates & history. We also appreciated some of the more "unconventional" stops as well as learning her favorite places to go in Split! We all agreed we would HIGHLY recommend Jelena's tours and we hope to see her again soon! Thank you!!

My husband and I are going to be on the Celebrity cruise ship arriving July 29. I would very much like to use you as our tour guide, all of your reviews seem wonderful.
But I don't think 2 hours is enough time. Can you do a longer tour and if so how much would it cost?
I am a big GOT fan and would love to see some of the sights that were used in GOT,,,,(FYI my husband never watched the show)
