I had not seen any warning post before arriving to Split airport about going to center via taxis
Sadly I payed double even though I dis my best not to get ripped off by asking all the right questions but ultimately using them is a HUGE NO NO.
ALWAYS USE Uber ONLY!!!!!
I will still persue to find out if there is anything that can be done as I asked for a receipt to what I can only call the most deceiving man I have met .
There are set prices on the wall and I saw it said €35 then the first guy said it was €65+ and when I questioned it and his lamé explanation, aggressive attitude he went away.
A more mature friendly guy name Peter came and said that the prices were old and incorrect (lie) for where I wanted which was central (nonsense) and he checked saying it was €57. Chatty all the way then when we arrived at tge hotel said it was €75.
I challenged the price and asked for a receipt which he took ages to process but I waited. It said €70 so I asked back for my €5 because I knew he had all along been smiling and ripping me off!
I think he is actually one of the most despicable people and said how Croatian people are nice blah when all he and all the hyenas wanted was as much of my money rendering me foolish for not trusting my instincts and giving him the fare.
Peter will be there everyday running his scan until he crossed the wrong person so I hope this helps as many people as possible and I will feel better.
I am not sure if ther is any recourse for all these scanned passengers but in this climate tge Croatian government with soon have to regulate taxis ti protect tourists

Dear Customer,
Sorry but you dont made reservation with us. We dont received any booking confirmation for
your transfer. So you change us with other taxi supplier, maybe you use taxi airport.
Now you sent a bad review to our company without providing you with a service. Contact the Ministry of Transport with the companys invoice, they will sanction it.

Completed the online form and called too, no answer at all so made other arrangements ☹️ Can't comment in quality of service as couldn't contact 👎
