We had the pleasure of working with Ivo. He was absolutely amazing and had so much information to share. We did a full day trip to Montenegro. We were in a comfortable A/C van for 8 people. We went on a boat ride from Perast to Lady of the Rock island where we took some amazing pictures. Ivo was not only our tour guide but our personal photographer. He captured some amazing pictures of our group. We also went to visit a church museum. We did a walking tour of Kotor and Budva.

Highly recommend this day trip from Dubrovnik! We had an amazing day with our very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly driver/guide, Ivo. The trip included a walking tour around old town Kotor, Perast with boat ride to Lady of the Rock museum, and lunch in Budva. Ivo was able to quickly navigate and coordinate all aspects of the trip, including border crossings, and fees (parking, boat ride to the museum, ferry across Kotor bay). He provided great information about all the areas visited, has an in-depth understanding of the history of the area, answered lots of questions throughout the day, was incredibly flexible to make the day personalized to our interests and pace, and showed us things we would have never found on our own. The trip exceeded our expectations -- in fact we enjoyed the experience so much that we ended up booking another day trip with Ivo just a few days later (Mostar, Bosnia -- highly recommend that tour as well!). Exceptionally clean, comfortable air-conditioned van.

This day trip exceeded our expectations!
There was something for everyone to enjoy. The Perast boat ride to Lady of the Rock museum was awesome!! Enjoyed learning the stories behind the rock and the beautiful art work.The Kotor walking tour and hike was a big hit for the boys. Shopping was fun. The pottery is beautiful. We ended with a spectacular lunch in Budva and walked the Budva old town and got to see Sveti Stefan. Our guide Ivo was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and utmost professional and fun. Highly recommended!!!

My sister and I recently took two day trips from Dubrovnik to Montenegro and Bosnia through Tours by Locals. These tours were highlights of our time in Croatia, and we highly recommend the tours as well as our superb guide and companion, Josko. Josko was prompt, professional, attentive, and helpful at all times. He handled every detail from convenient pick up and drop off near our accommodations to careful planning to avoid delays at border crossings, perfect pit stops at picturesque cafes, photo stops at scenic vistas, recommendations for perfect lunch spots, and accommodation of all of our special needs and requests.His knowledge of the culture, geography and history of the region was vast, and he shared it with us generously. We enjoyed his company immensely and even had some sing-a-longs in the car when we tired of more serious topics. If we're ever in the area again, we will most definitely book another Tour by Josko!
