Phenomenal Tour. Igor was a fantastic tour guide and this was a highlight of our stay in Sibenik! He was so much fun and did a great job showing us around the city as well as all the food and drink choices. You will be feeling like a local in no time. Highly recommend the tour, come hungry! He takes great care of his guests and is equally excited to learn about your culture while showing you his own!

Couldn’t be better. Igor was the most knowledgeable guide I have had leading a tour. He knew the history, the culture.
He could find his way around and back.
Igor had anecdotes to share. Jokes to make us laugh. He got us to try SO many new foods. We barely had time to finish one gastronomical treat before experiencing the next.
But mostly he has passion for his country. This is not a job but a love to share this passion.
Thank you Igor for sharing your Sibenik with us.

Truly exceptional experience - a perfect mix of history, authentic local food, and drink, with a very personable, interesting and fun guide (Igor). One of the best parts (aside from the great guide Igor) was not knowing exactly what was coming up next, which made it all the more exciting (and which is why we are reluctant to go into too much detail about the experience...book it and see for yourself). We could not have wished for anything more from Igor or this experience, and we have learned a huge amount about the wonderful place that is Sibenik!

This tour is fantastic and Igor was an excellent guide! Throughout the tour we truly felt like locals. It was the perfect mix of food, drink, culture and history. Every stop was well thought out and our group of 6 really enjoyed it.

Igor is a fantastic host and tour guide. His English is impeccable. From the moment he met us he went out of his way to make sure we were able to make the most of our time and showed us the best of the city he clearly loves. He had advised us in advance not to eat breakfast and he wasn’t kidding by the end of the tour we were stuffed with all the best food and drinks the city has to offer.

My partner and I booked this tour in a hope to sample a little bit of the history and food culture of Sîbenik and we got all that and more! Igor is such a passionate, enthusiastic, kind and welcoming guide. He was able to show us all the important spots of Sîbenik whilst also treating us to some delicacies and some hidden spots that the locals enjoy! There is no one more Dalmatian than Igor, what he doesn't know about Sîbenik, isn't worth knowing! We had unknowingly booked Igor for our tour of the Krka waterfalls as well and we wouldn't want anyone else showing us the wonders of Dalmatia. He is also an amazing photographer, we've never been more spoilt for choice with photos of ourselves from a holiday!

We decided to take the 6 hour combined Sibenik Historical and Food & Drink Walking tour. It sounds like a long time but it flew by in the blink of an eye. Igor was a brilliant host, with a huge knowledge of the history of the area and he took us to a variety of eating and drinking places that we wouldn't have found by ourselves. It was a lot of tasty food, but spread over a long time and in interesting places it was the perfect amount. Highly, highly recommended. Check out his sibeniktour website.

This private tour was exceptional- we strolled thru Sibinek sampling the local cuisine and drinks. We visited the local open air market, Old Town restaurants/shops and historical landmarks as our guide provided interesting insight into the Croatian culture and local traditions. I would highly recommend this tour if visiting Sibinek.

Was I glad that I somehow managed to work this tour into our very short time in Sibenik. Igor was a fantastic guide, providing enough flexibility in planning the route, customising the stops and interweaving history and culture into the the walk. He was responsive and so very approachable and easy to talk to. Although we started off famished after a kayaking tour in the morning, the food Igor piled on us was enough for our next two meals!
We planned an afternoon tour because of our morning kayaking tour and planned for a max of 3.5 hour tour since we had to drive to Split after. But part-way through the tour, we wished we had more time with Igor. His pacing was just right, leisurely enough for us to enjoy our food stops but yet keeping a close watch on time. We enjoyed the tour so much that part way, we told Igor that were were ok to finish later.
We met Igor at the park at 1pm and he represented us with a shot of traditional spirit infused with aromatic herbs (I think it is called Traverica), which went very well with the dried figs he brought along. That was an instant wake-up elixir for us!
Knowing that we needed some form of fuel to keep us going after the morning's exertion, he then brought us to the market to have a surprisingly simple but delicious prsut sandwich. Next was a coffee stop and we sampled one of the better coffees we had had so far, accompanied by yummy Burek. And along the way, Igor was sharing anecdotes on the lifestyle and history in Sibenik, pointing out where GOT was filmed etc.
Following what we would consider a very filling lunch, viola - we were going to have another round - marenda (brunch/tea) at a charming little tavern in the outdoor terrace along the alleys in the Old Town, with a menu of lentil/sausage stew and ham hock (Buncek). We were introduced to wine diluted with mineral water (I think it is called Gemist). This in itself is another full meal. But no, Igor is not letting us off yet. Notwithstanding that we were going into food coma, he brought us to an art museum - seriously?
This was one of the coolest places we visited, an underground art gallery doubled as a club for live music (no band playing in the afternoon though) and tripled up as a bar. Clever use of a conserved buildings. Plenty of photo opportunities and comfy chairs for a beer or two (and a catnap). Was that the end of the tour?
Not a chance. Igor planned it so well. A good meal must always have sweet closure. Last stop, desserts! Here he presented us with an array of baked desserts. Awesome!
Hard to beat this city walk! The way to man's heart is through his stomach! Well, Igor certainly succeeded. Do this tour with Igor. You will not regret it! It was really a fun and very satisfying introduction to Sibenik history, culture and way of life!
