The Active Travel Agency, Mr Marian's tourist office in Brasov, is a very serious and pleasent way of travelling in the Transilvania region in Rumenia. My guide was Charlie, a very professional and well educated person who took me through this wonderful area of this part of Europe. Highly recommended!

I had a great tour experience with Dan, the tour guide leading the way to all the sites in the itinerary. He serenaded the car with his love for jazz music, and also explained the history and answered questions about the places we visited.

Great communication prior to the tour and since I was solo that day, Charlie (my guide), picked me up at my Airbnb. His car was clean and comfortable and we had great conversation on our way to the various sites. As we discussed what I had seen and done on previous days, he was able to tie together how the whole history and places connected. We enjoyed a lunch in Sighisoara and dessert in Viscri. I learned so much and was an absolutely wonderful day!

We had a great tour experience today with Mihai! He taught us a lot about Romanian history (he was VERY knowledgeable!) and he was also very kind and made us feel comfortable. We had the opportunity to go to Sighișoara, Viscri, and Rupea today and it was so beautiful. Transilvania is wonderful! We hope to come back to Transilvania very soon. If you want a knowledgeable, respectful tour guide, Mihai is your guy!

This was one of our most memorable tour days ever, because of the expertise of Tiberiu Simon, our guide. He was well-versed in all topics and sites and history, an armchair philosopher who believes education to be the key to insure that history does not repeat itself. My husband and I WERE the only ones in our small group and we spent over ten hours visiting Sighisoara, Vistri, and the Rupea Fortress. Tiberiu placed us in photo perfect positions, took us to an interesting farm to table restaurant in a restored barn for lunch. We couldn't have asked for a better day and highly recommend others to try this experience.

It’s a beautiful day to visit these villages. Mihai explained well about the history and background of these sites. He was flexible, patient, and knowledgeable to discuss the history and culture.

We had a wonderful tour with Mihai who drove us to several key spots in the region. Mihai knows the history of the area well and has great stories and insights to share. The churches, towns, and countryside really came to life on this journey. Five stars, we totally recommend Mihai and this tour company for your adventures in the Transylvanian region.

The sights are wonderful but be prepared for lots of uneven surfaces and stairs. Difficult when it is a very wet day so good waterproofs and sturdy shoes are a must.
Our guide was very informative on the history of places but less so on the timetable of the day.
As there were only three of us on the tour so it was by car.
Tour guide he was very accommodating and flexible at the sights.
Viscri church is lovely but under construction. Sighisoara is beautiful.

A wonderful day trip in the heart of Transylvania,with our wonderful guide, Charlie.
On our recent day trip to the enchanting sites of Cetatea Rupea, Sighișoara and Viscri,we were fortunate to have an exceptional tour guide, Charlie,whose passion for the region enhanced our experience.
From the moment we met him,it was clear we were in good hands.With a warm welcoming,he gave us a brief overview of the day's itinerary.His enthusiasm was catchy,setting a positive tone for the adventure ahead.
As we made our way to Cetatea Rupea, Charlie shared fascinating historical insights about the fortress.He told us stories of the site's medieval significance,its strategic importance in the region and the various cultures that influenced its architecture.The panoramic view from the majestic fortress was magical,with rolling hills, stretching as far as the eye could see.
Next,we ventured to the enchanting town of Sighișoara,a UNESCO World Heritage site.With its cobblestone streets and colourful buildings,it felt like stepping into a fairy tale.Charlie,expertly led us through the narrow alleys always giving us pertinent information about everything that was worth being mentioned about the sites that we visited on our wonderful trip.
Our final destination was the picturesque village of Viscri,very famous for its traditional Saxon heritage.The thatched roof houses and serene countryside provided a perfect backdrop for reflection.
By the end of the day,we have not only explored breathtaking sites,but also forged a bond with our guide and eachother.
If you wish to experience the heart of Transylvania through the eyes of a passionate storyteller, Charlie is the guide you need,and not only a guide,but a very good driver!
