Florin was a great guide and friend for the day. He picked us up on time and took us on the Transfargasaran Road. It was stunning. Once at the top there are street traders selling local goods and street food. Beautiful lake up there as well. We were lucky enough to see a young brown bear on the way down next to the road as well. Plus we drove through 2 herds of sheep. We had a great day out with Florin. Thanks Florin. From Richard and Tracey

Florin is a fantastic guide. I had a private tour with him and he allowed me to make changes and adapt the tour to my interests. Florin is an expert on the area, and at the start of the tour he showed me a map and pointed out my options so I could decide which stops would suit my needs best.
He taught me a lot about the history and culture of Romania. Transylvania is so beautiful and unique! I only did a day trip with Florin but I recommend booking several days traveling around the area with Florin.

An unforgettable experience! Our guide was enthusiastic, was able to answer all of our questions and explained and showed us a lot of things clearly. Lots of stops to take plenty of photos and recharge our batteries. Fantastic views, even in our case despite the occasional rain. We would do it again anytime, it was one of the best days of our vacation in Romania.

This was the first time of my sister and me booking a private tour and our experience was really nice. It's cool there is a chance to go see the road with a tour because if you don't have a car it will become a problem. We want to thank Florin for taking good care of us during the trip. He told us a bit of history of Romania and the places we visited, took some photos for us and was very patient about our excitmenet.
Also kudos to Florin for safe driving because we were a bit worried about the road.
We definitely will recommend him for our friends if one day they decide to visit Romania!

Firstly let us start by saying how happy we were to have booked this tour! We will definitely use it again. Thank you Florin for taking such care of us and making this such a great experience, we also really enjoyed all the stopping points and the wonderful landscape. We would reccommend this service to any friends and family etc

Florin is an excellent tour guide and driver. He offers a lot of tours and we did the Transfagarasan Highroad Tour from Brasov that lasted the whole day with him. He shows the perfect spots for you to get the best view of the beautiful Carpathian and Fagarasan Mountains and leaves enough time for taking breaks, pictures and just nice walks to relax from the long car ride you have to do, to get to watch all this beauty of Romanian landscape. Florin is very knowledgeable about the history and geography of Romania and offers you a lot of insights into Romanian culture and everyday life. I wish Florin the best with his investment in a new bigger and more comfortable car for the trips, because at the moment his car is more suited to do trips with no more than 3 people that would be the only point that I would criticise about the trip.

Era uno de los objetivos principales el conocer éste recorrido, me quedaba poco tiempo en Rumania y decidí contratar el Tour. Florin me recogió en la mañana y amablemente me dejó en la estación de tren. Durante el Tour pudimos ver un zorro aunque no apareció ningún oso. Florin explicaba la historia de las iglesias, cómo se construyó la carretera y porqué. También explicó sobre el monumento a soldados caídos en la primera guerra mundial y además visitamos un museo del automóvil. El Tour duró casi 12 horas y lo recomiendo si quieren aprovechar su tiempo y además aprender algo de la historia de Rumanía.

Zostaliśmy punktualnie odebrani z hotelu w Braszowie. Mieliśmy prywatna wyprawę dla dwóch osób samochodem osobowym przez perfekcyjnie zaplanowaną trasę: droga Transfogarska a następnie okoliczne zabytki wpisane w naturalny krajobraz Transylwanii. Chociaż był środek sezonu turystycznego, dzięki naszemu przewodnikowi Florinowi uniknęliśmy tłoku, problemu z szukaniem miejsca parkingowego i stresem na drodze. Zwiedzanie zabytków było dopasowane do godzin ich otwarcia dzięki czemu nic nas nie ominęło. Dzięki encyklopedycznej wiedzy Florina poznaliśmy historię, kulturę, problemy normalnych ludzi i ich rozwiązania, czasami niepojęte dla przyjezdnych. W przerwie mieliśmy okazję smakować wyrobów spożywczych z okolicznych gospodarstw. Florin służył również pomocą przy wykonaniu pamiątkowych zdjęć. Ma dobre oko, trzeba przyznać. Zdjęcia są reprezentacyjną pamiątką:). Podsumowując wycieczka godna polecenia.

Wir wurden pünktlich von unserem Hotel abgeholt und auch wieder direkt vor dem Hotel abgesetzt. Wir waren zu zweit, sprich haben eine private Tour im PKW durch das Gebirge (Transfogarascher Hochstraße) erhalten. Unser Guide Florin stammt selbst aus Brasov und ist ein wandelndes Lexikon, er konnte uns all unsere Fragen zu den besuchten Gegenden (Transsilvanien, Wallachei) sowie zu Land und Leuten allgemein beantworten.
Obwohl wir an einem Sonntag in der Hochsaison unterwegs waren (wegen des hohen Andrangs der heimischen Bevölkerung nicht zu empfehlen), hatten wir genug Zeit, um die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten anzuschauen, Fotos zu machen (auch unser Guide hat uns professionell fotografiert) und die Wandertour zur Festung von Vlad dem Pfähler zu machen (sollte man eher nur unter der Woche machen, da die Tour sonst sehr lange dauert).
Unsere Mittagspause haben wir direkt im Gebirge gemacht - und zwar an Verkaufsständen, an welchen leckere Produkte aus der Region (Würstchen, Käse, Brot usw.) angeboten wurden. Ein kurzes Picknick an einem kleinen Wasserfall mit Blick auf die Berge also.
Ich muss sagen, dass wir uns keinen besseren Guide hätten wünschen können und dass der Preis für diese private Tour mehr als gerechtfertigt war. Ich kann nur jedem interessierten Rumänien-Besucher, der den Ausflug zur Transfogarascher Hochstraße genießen und sich nicht selbst ans Steuer setzen möchte, ans Herz legen, diese Tour zu buchen. Klare Empfehlung!

Do you have a trip from Brasov to Vidraru Dam? I know the Transfagarasan is closed to the north of the lake, but I would like to get to the Dam if possible.
