The whole tour from Brasov to Viscri to Sighisoara was fantastic. My guide does not only have the facts behind the places but she gave very useful personal insights along the way. Overall it was a very fun and immersive experience and would love to have them back as my tour guide when I return.

Found Transylvania Discovery Tours through good reviews on TripAdvisor. I usually don’t hire a guide (have only done so once previously over decades of world travel). Chose to do so because I would only be in Romania for a short time and reviews looked very good. We exchanged a few emails and settled on an itinerary and price, with no deposit or payment expected until the end of the trip.
Bogdan arrived exactly on time at my hotel. We drove out of Bucharest in his comfortable car. There had been over a foot of snow in the previous week, but he negotiated the driving easily. Lots of great conversation over the entirety of the trip covering Romanian and European history, world events, and everything from AC/DC to Veyrons, and topics in between.
Bogdan was well known and well regarded at all of our stops - Pele Castle, Bran Castle, the colorful Saxon village of Viscri (including the oldest fortified church in Transylvania), the Sighisoara Citadel, and the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. He chose very nice stops for lunch (you pay for your own) and a pleasant pension for the overnight stay in Brasov (included in the price of the tour).
I highly recommend Bogdan’s guided tours and hope to get back to picturesque Romania in warmer weather.

Alex was a wonderful guide who led us well throughout the tour. He is knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was great, allowed me to learn more about the areas around Brasov. Lovely aerial views, with interesting history of the place.
