This is a mixed review since I booked the Sky Ticket with a pickup. The pickup was basically a disaster (and this ties into the overall review). The pickup was 30minutes late since he was stuck in traffic. Naturally nobody can anticipate traffic but having the pickup at 6pm and not knowing its rush hour is a no-go for an organised pickup. The pickup dropped us off at the Dubai Mall stating "go inside and ask a security on how to get the to entrance. This was also a bit irritating since I expected to have a bit more information. Due to the late pickup and also having to walk through the whole Dubai Mall from the drop off we were late for the slot that I booked (7pm). We wanted to enjoy the sunset but only got up to level 148 at around 8pm when it was dark.
The view from the Burj was spectacular and all was great after arriving up on the Sky deck. Night lights over Dubai was great. As stated the only caveat was the late pickup, drop off and being late for the sunset.
Would the sunset been possible the rating would be higher.
Recommendation from my side is not to use the pickup but organise the arrival yourselves. You have more control.

Skip the line was totally worth it and do the 148 versus the 124/125 visit. Very private viewing of the city versus the crowds.

Amazing experience, 148 floors above Dubai with breathtaking views. Definitely recommend the “Skip the Line” option as there was no queuing and we were able to stay at the top as long as we wanted. Refreshments in a seclusion lounge were also provided.

The skip the line price did not provide much value over the traditional ticket. The normal line was a moderate wait and the building floor levels had the same view experience and VIP area was just as crowded as the normal area.

We would like to point out that "skip the line" tickets allow our guests to wait at the lounge where you will be receiving a short brief about the structure.
The tallest structure in the world naturally attracts every tourist visiting the U.A.E.
almost all year round the venue stays busy and that is one of the reasons why we recommend to opt for "skip the line" as the lounge is a great place to wait when the lobby gets overcrowded.

The experience was excellent and well worth paying the extra for the Sky VIP.
Only point that needs to be looked at is the information about where you pick up your tickets, its reads as though the pick up point is no where near the entrance when actually it is across the way.
This was one of my highlights during my stay in Dubai.

If you go to Dubai it's about the only thing worth doing. It's just a big building to look out and see a big city surrounded by the desert on one side and the ocean on the other. I paid for the sky no waiting in line experience to 148th floor and 125 & 124th viewing floors. The 148th has a nice lounge that gives you juice, coffee, tea,water and sweets. The best thing is that there's fewer people to take better pictures. The 125th and 124th is full of people and difficult to not have people in your pictures. Not sure if I would pay the $158 US Dollars again to do this experience again. But if you are there for a day or two it's worth doing.
