The best way to see the Angkor temples, Siem Reap and the floating village!

This is the only review I've ever written for a travel company that I have used--that's how great of an experience my girlfriend and I just had with our tour guide, Ra. We spent 3 days with him seeing Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, the floating village at Kompong Khleang, and many other sites and temples. It was all amazing thanks to Ra, who explained the history (ancient and recent), the meanings of the carvings in the temples, and even gave us restaurant recommendations. He was especially great at avoiding the crowds, finding perfect spots for pictures, and his english was excellent.

Go with Ra at Angkor Wat!

We toured the inner circuit of Angkor Wat with Ra and had an amazing time. He was a real pro and is so knowledgeable about Cambodian history and the history of the Angkor Wat. His English was great and his easy going demeanor made it easy to spend 5-6 hours together as we explored one of the most marvelous places I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend going with Ra on this tour!

Angkor Wat, Temples, Markets, floating village , War Memorial

Ra was our guide for 2 days , and we had a couple of Tuk Tuk’s which added to the adventures.
Full day of temples on day 1 including Angkor Wat, then mixed it up day 2 with Ra’s advice. Took in some lesser tourist temples which were magnificent and also went to the floating villages.
Visited the war memorial which is far more basic than in Vietnam and but equally as stark to take in the history.
Drivers were great , friendly and always ready with cold water and cold towel when we arrived back after walking
Couple of markets and the odd seller to deal with but part of the fun in Cambodia.
Highly recommended.

Excellent driver and guide

Vanra was always at time, with his very clean and comfortable car. As I stayed only a short time in Cambodia, we traveled from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and Ra selected the most relevant temples I had not visited previously.
I fully recommend him to English speaking travelers.

Kiwis explore Cambodia

As a family of five with three kids, one 11 years old and twins of 10 years old, we decided to investigate having a private driver to get us around Cambodia. My wife start a conversation with Ra via messenger and straight away got a good vibe. Ra’s English is perfect and after discussing that we wanted to get from Siem Reap to Mondulkiri, after a trip to the temples, he customised a route to get us there over two days. Ra’s knowledge of the history of Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples was unreal and we all learnt so much! He always new the very best places to eat and we had some amazing meals with him. On the way back from Mondulkiri we spent a night on an island near Kracheh at a home stay where he cooked one of his signature dishes. This was amazing. The time spent on the island was unforgettable and a real taste of local life. From here we went to Phomn Penh where we did a trip to the Killing Fields. Unfortunately here was where we had to say goodbye to our new friend Ra. His professionalism and humour we fantastic and we all can’t wait to get back over so we can explore more. Ra really understood the way we like to travel and the experiences we were seeking. Thank you so much!

Best Guide in Siem Reap

Fabulous Guide! Ra & I were in constant contact prior to my trip as I had special requests which he handled perfectly!

Ra's knowledge of the temples and all of Cambodia was extensive & he was eager to share his country's treasures & Culture with me..

Ra was always prompt & able to adapt our itinerary to meet my interests. He also gave me great ideas of places to eat, shop & FAB Hotel.

Ra's English is so good that he understood my humor and we laughed a lot as we toured the area for 3 days. I am thankful that he was available to be my guide!

I hope to return to tour all of Cambodia and I will definitely chose Ra and Van Express & Tours again!
