Okey let’s be honest, the tour is not cheap, it’s actually quite expensive! But if you like to see many things and experience the ocean, fjords and nature in one day this is the way to go.
We saw a lot of humpback whales and seals. We also saw some albatrosses and other birds.
The glacier that we visited was really cool also.
The whole crew was really friendly and they did an amazing job, five stars!

Vale la pena cada peso invertido en el tour para avistar ballenas en el Parque Marino Francisco Coloane, embarcación de lujo, tripulación muy preocupada y la guia Nerea muy preparada. Lo recomiendo de todas maneras.

Our whale watching tour was cancelled last minute.
We understand the weather in Patagonia is unstable, but wind guru didn’t show any of that ( at cape froward).
The day before we got a call saying the departure of our tour was delayed due the ship being under maintenance. So our meeting time was mover from 4:30 to 7:30 at their office.
When we got to their office at 7:10, there was a huge line of people waiting outside. We asked a man and said to wait in line and we will be sorted to the different busses. We waited for at least 30 minutes to get to the front desk. It turns out they had 2 people charging and sorting the costumers that were going to de penguin tour and when we asked about the whale tour the older lady rudely told us wait for them to finish with the penguin tour… so we waited again, this time inside the office.
When only the people from the whale watching tour was left we were told that the tour was cancelled due to bad weather, saying that they informed her the port was closed at 5am. Several of us complained about the waste of time waiting in line outside in the light rain for them to just tell us that.
They told us we had three options, to go to the penguin tour, to reschedule or to get a reimbursement.
We got our money back since we already went to see the penguins and our flight was early the next day.
We understand the weather conditions change rapidly here, but that wasn’t the problem. The older lady at the front desk was very rude to the foreigners ( those who clearly had an accent). When we complained about the waste of time they said they went outside-at least twice- to inform us about the whale watching tour being cancelled. None of us heard her when we were waiting outside. None of us got a call, email or WhatsApp informing us about the cancellation.
We suspect the ship wasn’t ready and they blamed it on the weather.
We were very disappointed, but at least got our money back.

Very well run operation and a great experience. Although pricey, I would recommend this one of a kind tour. Take warm clothing and be prepared to get cold and wet.

La verdad que desde el momento en el que subimos a la embarcación superó todas nuestras expectativas la tripulación fue en todo momento cordial y profesional para con los pasajeros, pudimos ver facil unas 7 ballenas, ademas de pinguinos, cormoranes, lobos de mar y un glaciar donde presenciamos desprendimientos desde una vista inmejorable. Cuentan con un desayuno y un almuerzo muy completo. 10 puntos la experiencia totalmente recomendable

The available dates are inaccurate! For a few months the tour company kept our registration form only to tell us now (a few weeks before our departure) that they changed the date of the Francisco Coloane Marine Park tour. Seriously messes up our vacation plans. Of note: you can still register and pay for the date that they're not going out, so don't make plans based on travel sites; check out the availability directly with the tour company.

Expérience incroyable !
Ca vaut vraiment son prix.
On a vu plusieurs baleines, des pingouins, et des lions de mers et aussi un glacier.
Le bateau est très confortable et bien entretenu. Le repas et les collations parfaites.
Et ce souvenir incroyable d’être si proche des baleines!
Je recommande a 200% 🙂

Hello, we arrived back to Punta Arenas between 4;30- 5:00 PM. At summer sunset is at 11:30 pm so we had plenty day light to enjoy a very long day!
