We ended up booking with WestChinago from Tianfu airport transfer, private Giant Buddha, Wolong Panda Base, and airport transfer. This review is for airport pick up and Giant Buddha. First and foremost, Lily was AMAZING from booking to execution. Communication was clear, made great suggestions, and on time with everything (even told us the eta on her reply due to national holiday). Even including spending money economically with certain places for our itinerary. Really appreciate it. 1000% recommending this company for your Chengdu visit. You will not regret it! They’ll take care of you, and Lily certainly single handedly made my Chengdu visit so much less stress!! And oh, our drivers (both airport pick up and leshan giant Buddha) were super nice.

Brief river ride of 30mins. Only stay in front of the Buddha for 5mins or so so everyone is grappling and fighting for space to take pictures. Can get rowdy on the top open air deck. To avoid the crowd, one can also view from the lower aircon deck, where tea and food are available.
The road to these jetties are very narrow, during peak jams, the wait on the coach or private cars can be really long, taxis with meters are not a good idea.

We had an Excellent Guide and took our time climbing up to the top of the local buddha by another route than the one seen in the picture. The crowds were quite large and waiting was common for anything there. The best way to really see the buddha fully is by boat on the river. Then you can appreciate the enormity of the stature.

We spent a very good day with our guide Fifi for this tour. She was really friendly, helpfull and provided many informations on Chinese culture.

We had a great day full of new experiences!! First, we had a high speed train travel to Leshan (sooo cool). Then, the Giant Buddha took our breath (go and see it, it's a must). Taking the river cruise was the best option to see the whole Buddha. Local history and Buddhism explanations from our guide were really useful. Finally, our lovely guide showed us the best street food places to enjoy Sichuan food, which is amazing.

Thank you WestChinaGo for making our trip to Chengdu so special and memorable. As mentioned in multiple reviews, Lily is a pleasure to work with - responsive, efficient, resourceful, and extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly, Lily is a kind and wonderful person who truly cares about her clients and will go the extra step to make sure everything in your party is comfortable and all needs catered to.
We took a 2 day tour that included Panda volunteering and the Leshan Giant Buddha and couldn't have asked for a better experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Buena opción, conoces al Buda gigante y viajas en un tren de alta velocidad, comes en el pueblo de pescadores, aunque considero que la actividad debería realizarse más temprano porque hay muchísima gente esperando bajar las escaleras para recorrer al buda

Thank you so much for leaving a review for us.
Our Leshan Buddha tour is unique which not only visit Buddha,but also the the less touristy Fishing village and over 2000 years old grottoes and includes the tasty fish dishes.
What you mentioned is true, sometimes (especially during public holidays,)there will be lot of people queue on the top to get down to the Buddha feet.
In this case, we will suggest clients to skip the tour and take river cruise instead.

Visitei Leshan através da agência Westchinago e só tenho elogios.
A Lilly foi maravilhosa, eficiente e simpática. Graças a ela minha viagem foi perfeita. Passei 3 dias em Dujiangyang trabalhando como voluntária na Panda Base e foi a Lilly que organizou tudo pra mim.
Na visita ao Leshan Giant Buda a Flora foi uma excelente companhia. Muito agradável, querida e prestativa, ela sabe muito e transmite muitas informações e histórias sobre o local.
Só tenho a agradecer a Lilly e Flora que me ajudaram muitíssimo na China.

I'm sorry, I don't know about now. We were there in July when there had been a huge amount of rain and the jetties for the boats were submerged, so we couldn't make the approach by boat, but we were still able to visit the buddha.

I arranged the tour from the States on line. My guides name was winnie. she was outstanding and the whole day was a joy. i cannot recommend her enough she is great. had a great meal and winnie also provided great knowledge about the statutes and the area.
