I will give the the good, the bad and the ugly. The good.. none, the bad.. I was told there would be food and drinks ( at cost) no food or drinks. There were plenty of street vendors literally climbing on the bus the sell us beverages. The ugly.. bus was crowded, standing. I know people get up and dance on these tours but this was standing room only. There was a dj present and music played but I felt that some of those people were paid to be there , just to dance and shout and hype it up. We got off halfway thru. The couple next to us did not look like happy campers.

We were sold this chiva bus tour by a sales agent named Titi right outside San Felipe Castle after we had visited the castle. He promised us the tour guide would be bilingual, and since we had already visited the castle, he said the tour would only be 60,000 COP (the tour includes entrance to the castle and a tour of it). The guide was not bilingual, but he was very nice and took photos of us (the only reason I rated them 2/5 instead of 1/5). After talking with someone else on the tour, we learned that she paid 50,000 COP. So not only were we lied to, but we were also charged more for getting less than what others got. We talked to the chiva driver and the tour guide about this, who recommended that we call the number on the ticket. We had a Colombia woman call for us to explain what happened to us. The person instructed us to send a photo of our ticket through WhatsApp. We did that, and the woman who helped us also left a voice message explaining the situation and photo to the agency. The agency played games with us. They kept saying hello without addressing the message or the photo. We asked other sales agents on the street for help, and though they apologized for the experience, they were unable to help us.
The tour itself was not what we were looking for. We wanted a hop-on, hop-off experience, but we had to stay on the same bus the entire time. I'm sure the history the tour guide gave was interesting, but we missed a lot of it since he wasn't bilingual. Much of the beginning consisted of picking people up at different locations. While everyone was at the castle, they dropped us off at an emerald store that tried to sell us emeralds. The last part of the tour was a walking tour through the old city, which included another visit to an emerald store. The route started at San Felipe castle and ended in the old city.

We met Titi outside Castillo San Felipe which we had just visited. He sold us a city tour for 60,000 that he claimed was bilingual (it was not) and did not include San Felipe.
We found out other people paid 50,000. After an hour, the tour stopped at San Felipe. Apparently admission was included in the tour, but the guide told us to wait in the emerald shop since we already paid and went that morning. So the company should have refunded the portion of the entrance (27,000). We waited for 1.5 hours, and then the rest of the tour lasted only 30 minutes more.
The guide seemed like a nice person, and we probably would have enjoyed the trip more had it been a bilingual tour as we were promised.
I called the owner, and he asked that I send him a copy of our ticket in WhatsApp. I did, but the owner never responded. It's disappointing that this company uses sales agents that lie to you, overcharge to pocket extra money, and the company does nothing to make it right.
Basically we paid 60,000 per person for a tour that should have only cost 23,000, and it was a tour that we should not have even taken, because half of it involved activities we had already done on our own and it involved a guide speaking a language that we barely knew. So this company has terrible sales tactics, but I think this is par for the course for street tours in a place like Cartagena.

Malisimo, no se dejen estafar, solo venden agua y un trancon infinito. Chofer sin tapabocas, pocas medidas de seguridad, mejor opcion alquilar un vehiculo

el tour estuvo bien un poco largo, pero conocimos varios sitios, para mi que hablo espanol estuvo bien, pero tienen que tratar de contratar guias bilingues porque mi novio no entendio nada , porque el solo habla ingles, aunque yo trataba de explicar es un poco dificil, de resto estuvo bien.

Horrible la experiencia. Son unos estafadores! Mala predisposición. El tour es un chiste. No te explican nada. Pedí que me devuelvan la plata y me enviaron a volar.

Adorei o passeio de chiva com a Chocolate tours. O passeio foi até o castello San Felipe de Barajas. Paguei 60.000 COP pelo passeio a tarde toda, incluindo o ingresso do castelo e a visita guiada! Comprei o passeio na frente da torre do relógio. Este é o melhor e mais barato jeito de conhecer o Castelo de San Felipe de Barajas.

El peor city tour por lejos y la empresa más chanta. No ofrece ninguna atracción que no se pueda hacer por cuenta propia, mejor y sin ser tratado como rebaño. Es más un recorrido para llevar a los turistas a comprar, que para mostrarles verdaderamente las cosas bellas de la ciudad. El guía Pajarito un resentido, grosero y mal educado, se dedicó a decir el precio de los hoteles y del metro cuadrado de los apartamentos en vez de contar la historia de la ciudad. Nos advirtió de mala manera que en cada asiento tenían que sentarse seis personas (aunque fuéramos incómodos) porque él tenía convenio con los hoteles caros y no les podía fallar (!). Frente a cada pregunta que se le hacía, respondía de malisima manera burlándose y humillando al que preguntaba. Con el cuento de que no tenía los tickets para entrar al castillo San Felipe y que debía esperar a que su jefe se los llevara, nos obligó a entrar a un lugar con el que seguramente tenía un arreglo. Nos trató como si fuéramos tontos, en forma prepotente y grosera porque mi esposa y yo nos negamos a entrar. Recomiendo contratar a cualquier empresa menos esta.

El tour bien se podría llamar, "Tour para comprar botellas de agua o souvenirs", pasas mucho más tiempo en el tránsito que en las "atracciones" las cuales son de mala calidad, lo único que merece la pena es el Castillo de San Felipe (lo puedes hacer aparte y arriba hay guías). La explicación por parte del guía es muy superficial cuando se nota que tiene mucho más conocimiento y dedica más tiempo a su celular que a las explicaciones al grupo. No lo recomiendo.

Fui estafada por el Señor Alvaro y otro señor Jamaiquino que nos vendió el tours frente al hotel playa dorada, a mi y 5 compañeras más del seminario. Nos cobraron un tours completo por 50mil pesos colombianos a cada una y sólo nos llevaron al fuerte de san felipe, nos emtregaron a un guía de allá prometiendo que estarían esperandonos a la salida para continuar el recorrido. Al momento de salir no había nadie y no había chiva pagada, nos dejaron tiradas allá, fuimos al lugar de donde partimos en un taxi y fuimos al lugar donde nos vendieron con los policias de turismo de la zona y ya se habían marchado.
Luego volvimos en la noche y encontramos a Alvaro y nos prometiò devolver el dinero en el hotel porque eran muy SERIOS y desde que su compañero llegará irían al hotel nuestro a devolvernos el dinero.
No aparecieron y obvio que son unos LADRONES.
Hay otras opciones más responsables, nunca antes había escrito aquí, pero no quiero que mas turistas pasen lo mismo.
Luego volvimos en la noche y encontramos a Alvaro y nos prometiò devolver el dinero en el hotel porque eran muy SERIOS y desde que su compañero llegará irían al hotel nuestro a devolvernos el dinero.
No aparecieron y obvio que son unos LADRONES.
Hay otras opciones más responsables, nunca antes había escrito aquí, pero no quiero que mas turistas pasen lo mismo.
