Heiß, dauert lange, aber absolut lohnenswert
Wir wurden sehr früh morgens (04:45 Uhr) von unserem Reiseveranstalter (alltours) von unserem Hotel mit einem geräumigen, modernen und klimatisierten Reisebus abgeholt. Nachdem alle Reiseteilnehmer (ca. 20) eingesammelt wurden, ging der Ausflug los. Bereits auf dem Weg nach Luxor bekamen wir vom Reiseleiter einige Informationen zu Land und Leute in Ägypten.
Man fährt durch die Wüste, am Nil entlang und durch einige Dörfer. Nach ca. 2,5 Stunden gab es eine erste Rast, wo Toiletten und diverse Verkaufsstände vorhanden waren. Generell wird man in Ägypten an den Verkaufsständen sehr von den Verkäufern bedrängt etwas zu kaufen. Man hat so das Gefühl ständig „nein danke“ sagend durch die Gassen zu laufen.
Unser erster richtiger Stopp war der Karnak-Tempel. Uns hat ein Archäologe („Aladin“) auf Deutsch viele Informationen über die Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der gesamten Tour geliefert.
Anschließend ging es zum Mittagessen in ein Restaurant mit Buffet.
Nach dem Essen überquerten wir den Nil mit einem Boot, was extra bezahlt werden musste (1,50€/Person).
Der nächste Stopp war das Tal der Könige, wo wir in drei Grabstätten von Ramses II, III und IX waren. Man hätte ebenfalls gegen Aufpreis die Grabstätte von u.a. Tutanchamun besichtigen können. Da dieses Grab laut unserem Reiseleiter aber genauso aussieht wie die anderen Gräber, haben wir dieses nicht mehr besichtigt.
Weiter ging der Ausflug mit dem Besuch von Alabastersteinhauern. Hier wurde uns gezeigt wie aus Alabaster Figuren, Schalen und Vasen hergestellt werden.
Daraufhin waren wir bei dem Tempel von Hatschepsut.
Abschließend gab es noch einen Halt bei den Memnonkolossen.
Insgesamt war der Ausflug sehr schön! Besonders die deutschsprachige Reiseleitung und der deutschsprachige Archäologe haben wesentlich dazu beigetragen, dass wir so viele positive Eindrücke gewinnen konnten.
Trotz der langen Fahrt und der Hitze in der Wüste Ägyptens, ist der Ausflug definitiv empfehlenswert!

Very nice trip, it takes all day from the early morning ( around 3:30am) but it is so worth it, one of the best views you will see in Luxor.

Heel goed georganiseerd

Je wordt vantevoren goed ingelicht met een Appje en de bus waarin je wordt opgehaald was prima. (Ik heb korte benen ;)) We hadden een kleine groep (8 man ofzo?), wat heel fijn was! De reisleider kwam pas in de bus in Luxor zelf. Wij hadden Mo en onze groep heette Ramses, zijn Engels was top en zijn kennis over alles wat hij vertelde was echt geweldig! Het enige minpuntje was dat de dag gewoon te kort was. ;) De vallei is wel een dagtour op zich waard.. Teveel te zien voor de tijd die je hebt. Tijdens de trip moet je nog wel de tickets voor de Karnak tempel, Vallei der Koningen en de tempel van Hatshepsut betalen, dit zijn gewone prijzen. We wilden nog fooi geven op het eind, alleen was hij toen al vertrokken? Dat was een beetje maf. Verder waren we echt super tevreden!

Another Fantastic Trip

We are a family of 7.
2 seniors, 2 Adults and 3 children. We previously booked a trip to Cairo and were so impressed, we then booked this trip to Luxor.
I can’t speak highly enough of the transfer drivers, tour guide and experience. Said, our tour guide was extremely knowledgable, kind and helpful. He greeted us with bottled water, cans of coke and even bought us ice cream. Such a genuine, kind man. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the excursions we booked with this company, honestly made our holiday!
Thank you again for a safe and memorable experience that we will remember as a family forever!

Excursion from Hurghada to Luxor.

At first I was afraid of booking this activity via trip advisor but I’m glad that I did as it all went very smoothly. I got my confirmation a day or two before the tour started and a day before, I received a WhatsApp message to confirm I was booked in and to confirm my room number, hotel address and the pick up time. The tour itself went very well with a near full coach, mostly Germans and Russians, so the group divided in two when we stated the visita. It took a bit of time to collect every guest from their hotels (maybe more than 10 stops if I recall well). Also there are over 10 police check points between Hurghada and Cairo. All pretty safe.

In my group there was double translation of German and English which at some times was a bit annoying but it also allowed some time to sightseeing a bit more while the German briefing was going one. There was also a tour coordinator that helped manage the coach seats and breaks until we reached Luxor.

We had a great guide and Egyptologist called Mimo!! Very lively, funny and good hearted and gave us lots of tips and funny names such as Mrs Toblerone.

This is a very good value for money tour that includes the transfers, guide and lunch!! It also packs lots of monuments and visits in one single day.

I can really recommend this company. It would be good if they could share an email address so we can also contact them via email in case we have any questions beforehand.

But very happy with the tour and this company.

Ci siamo alzati presto e poi andati a prendere gli altri partecipanti nei vari hotel, quindi la prima mezz'ora persa coi pik-up.
Luxor splendida, guida ottima, luoghi visitati eccelsi.
Al ritorno hanno riaccompagnato tutti gli altri e noi per ultimi, persa altra mezz'ora. troo che potrebbere fare il giro come all'andata, così chi si è dovuto alzare per primo sia riaccompagnato per primo!

It was a amazing trip .. Luxor was full of history and it was great to see it. Never enough time on websites but we got a very good overview. Our guide Hazem was really amazing .. He knew a lot not only about the sites we visited but also talked about a lot of history and culture between the sites and on the bus ride. I really recommend this tour..Thank you for a great trip!

I visited Luxor from hurghada as an over day it was very amazing and perfect to have a tour like this firstly I took a bus from hurghada to Luxor I enjoyed the way and the natural views then upon the arrival I took some rest then the guide took me to visit the amazing west bank it was very important to see this place then I had lunch and went to Karnak temple I enjoyed the day very much and I loved Luxor too.

we had a tour from hurghada to luxor by bus it was very amazing and joyful and very safe after our arrival we had some rest then we start our visit temple of karnak it was very amazing and impressive how it is very big and large it was very amazing and kibash road was very amazing we enjoyed watching this amazing temple and know the history of it then we visited the west bank we started the valley of the kings it was very impressive we saw 3 tombs there which is the best of them and know about its history then we went to hatshepsut it was very amazing funeral temple we knew that she was the best strong women through the history shy was very strong and she ruled Egypt i loved these information very much then the last thing we visited was the Colossi of Memnon they was very amazing statues which still until now it was very impressive. i really loved the way of pharaohs thoughts of building these things you should see them
