Truly a Hidden Gem Tour!

Overview:
This trip was literally the best trip of my solo travel! I went during Dussehra/ Vijayadashami, which is a major Hindu holiday. I've learned from my tour guide Deena that Mysore/Mysuru is the place where Kali, the female goddess, defeated the bull headed demon!

Note: Do note that most of India will use WhatsApp to communicate!
Praveen, I believe the owner of the tour company, had messaged me on Viator. I did not have Viator app so I had reached out through WhasApp to communicate! He was very accomadating and confirmed my pickup from the hotel!

My tour guide was Deena and driver was Azhar. Deena was so full of knowledge and really made me understand what a tour guide truly should be! He had so many facts and tidbits about the history of the silk cocoon auction house, the Keshava temple, Mysore palace and more! Azhar was amazing! Everytime we stopped to get out he would open the door right away, not even giving me the chance to open it myself. I was really impressed with his service and kindness!

Definitely don't want to spoil the trip, but my only advice is that you should go on this trip!!! It will take most of the day but the experience is superb.

Our tour guide skillfully navigated us through palaces and temples, providing captivating insights into their rich history. The Indian food was good, especially the dosa. Overall, a well-rounded experience that blended cultural discovery with culinary pleasures, making it a memorable and satisfying adventure. Last but not least. Pardeep was amazing with a great sense of humor. Will always remember Pardeep!

Great sightseeing and hilarious comedy!
Pradeep was a really funny guide and he made the whole experience great! We see some really cool sites, highly recommend.

Incredible full day tour visiting palaces, temples, markets, and more. Highly recommended.

This is a fascinating and memorable tour that I would recommend to anyone visiting Bengaluru. Praveen is a superb guide with a deep knowledge and love of the history of Bengalaru and Southern India, and his storytelling, sense of humour, and charm kept us all engaged, interested, and enjoying the tour for the entire day.

Booking the tour and liaising with Praveen and Hidden Gems Tours was easy, the hotel pickup was prompt, with a friendly and safe driver and spacious vehicle, and the tour was meticulously coordinated to provide the perfect experience (and food!) for everyone in our group.

I highly recommend this tour and look forward to another tour with Praveen when I return to Bangalore.

Many thanks to Praveen and Hidden Gems Tours for a fabulous day out.

An amazing experience start to finish. Praveen has such an extensive knowledge and knows all of the best places to go to give you a unique experience, one which I will never forget.
I highly recommend that you book this tour….you will have the best day with the best guide.

A truly excellent and wonderful experience
This trip was our best experience in India by far. Praveen and his staff were amazing and we had a fabulous day from the moment we were picked up at our hotel until our return. We felt that we experienced India at its most authentic and will highly recommendthis trip to all our friends.

The best experience in India!

I strongly recommend you to choose this tour if you want to look around Mysore in a day. Praveen who is the owner of the agency is so generous and passionate to provide the best tour program for tourists and Danee who was our tour guide has lots of knowledge of Indian culture and experiences of tour guidance. We had a super great moment following their guidance and the light show of Mysore palace was also perfect. Hope you also enjoy the moment in Mysore with the best tour agency!

한국 분들 중 마이소르 투어 프로그램 찾고 계신 분들이 계시면 강력 추천합니다! 저는 꼭 보고 싶은 곳들이 있어서 기본 프로그램 커스터마이징을 요청 드렸는데도 사장님이 3-4시간에 걸쳐서 상담 도와주셨고, 같이 투어하신 가이드님도 아주 전문적이고 지식과 경험이 많은 분이어서 벵갈루루와 마이소르의 역사, 인도 문화와 종교 등 많은 설명들을 들으면서 여행할 수 있었어요. 식당이나 차에 대해서도 걱정이 있으실텐데 데려가주신 식당이나 저녁 대용 간식도 퀄리티가 아주 훌륭했고, 이동하는 차도 아주 쾌적하고 깨끗했습니다. 돈 값을 한다고 생각하시고 편히 여행하시길 바라요!

Great time in Mysore with Praveen and Pradeep

Our tour with Praveen and Pradeep was an exceptional experience! Their timing was just right for a one day trip, and at each stop they shared just the right amount of cultural and historical insights, ensuring it was engaging for everyone. The meals were a highlight, served at charming, non-touristy spots with breathtaking views. I couldn't have asked for a more authentic experience. I highly recommend their tours and look forward to joining them again for future adventures. Kudos to Praveen and Pradeep for making this trip unforgettable!

Two excellent day trips out of Bengalaru - Nandi Hills and Mysore
I did three tours with Hidden Gems whilst in Bengalaru - ‘Bangalore Through the Ages’ on my own (see my separate review) and the ‘Nandi Hills’ and ‘Mysore’ day trips out of Bengalaru with my husband. All the tours were excellent.

Praveen kindly customised the Nandi Hills tour for us due to our availability, and it included a visit to a fascinating temple, a pottery workshop to see tandoors being made, a hike up the Nandi Hills taking in the spectacular views in the countryside, lunch at the top and Praveen the guide providing fascinating historical insights along the way. For those interested in the history of British India in particular this was a fascinating tour. If you take this tour on the weekend you could also visit one of the neighbouring vineyards. The hike is approx 2km up hill, so is excellent for adventurous and fit visitors, if you have health issues it would be worth reaching out to Praveen to customise the tour without a hike (you can drive to the top of the hill instead). This was my favourite tour by far, the countryside is so peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of Bengalaru and the views are reminiscent of the Scottish highlands.

The Mysore tour was also excellent. It is broken up into multiple very interesting stops along the way which makes the journey easier, however it is an early start and a late finish (6.30am-8pm ish depending on traffic) so book this tour on a day when you are not jet lagged. It is definitely worth the trip. You start with a delicious traditional breakfast, stop at a silk cocoon factory, an ancient temple, two palaces, a riverside lunch and the market. All stops are interesting, the Mysore Palace (breathtaking) and the markets were the highlight for us.

Praveen and Pradeep the tour guides are both extremely knowledgeable, passionate and make the day trips a memorable experience. I highly recommend this tour company to any visitors to Bengalaru.
