We are so glad that we booked this trip. Conditions in the slums are very tough, but seeing the projects that are aiming to give people a fairer chance was truly uplifting. A workshop providing work for disabled people, a health clinic, a computer room and library for school children, day care for pre school children and women past working age, support to schools, collecting unused lunches from businesses to provide free meals, and more.
All safely and informatively guided by Ashif, and the project's inspiration, Venkat.

I saw a small part of a slum. Unfortunataly the trip was very short, i think its better to make this trip longer, as now, but i recommend it, because you will see, how the poor people live. Also you have a insight in a school project. For me was all intesting to see. Thanks Venkat for gave this trip.

Inspiring work being done by Swabhimaan, TFI etc in the most challenging neighbourhoods. Essential visit to get a full sense of challenges and promise of India.

It was a true experience to see how lives are lived in the slums everyday. It’s so heartbreaking that just a few kilometres can make a place so different from the outside world. I had Ashif & Venkat showing me around and the people here are very nice & welcoming that you feel completely safe. Though people are facing challenge in everyday live, you also see hope, humanity, determination all over this place to overcome adversity. It's not just a tour but more a learning & life changing experience for me. Can't recommend this enough.

I was visiting my friend in Bengaluru and visited the slums with him and Venkat. It was a true to ground feels experience. This is not a wishy washy feel good trip. You will take in real life with the sights, sounds, mongrels, garbage and everything that comes with a slum.
With that you will also see real traces of hope in the elementary schools, small scale enterprise and food businesses running next to each other. I was fortunate enough to be with Ventak and Ashif got to talking to the people living and working in Ejipura. They were were very welcoming and actually took us to the kitchen or the mezzanine workshop or packaging backroom.
All in all if you're up for the experience then you will walk away with something that will stay with you and a deep appreciation for life.

Hello - the schools and businesses That are part of the tour were closed for the Christmas break and reopened only in January. We hope you can make it the next time you are in Bengaluru.
