Young Putri was our guide. We were impressed with her command of English and her knowledge of Indonesia's history. We gave her a list of favorite sites we wanted to see, and she did her best to accommodate us. Our walk through the Arab Quarter was very interesting. We skipped Chinatown, as we had seen many Chinatowns before. Unfortunately, the House of Sampoerna was closed, and since it was Friday, we could not get inside any of the mosques. Putri suggested a number of other interesting sites which we were happy to visit. We did enjoy the excellent lunch where we encountered some of the people from our cruise ship who were on the ship's tour. Our charge was $120 per person (including pick-up and drop-off at the harbor pier) for a private tour in an air-conditioned SUV, whereas the cheapest ship excursion was $150 per person to see the highlights of Surabaya on a big tour bus. Our only regret was that we had to be back on the ship by 3:30 pm, otherwise we could have seen even more sights.

Helpful and friendly guide, willing to take us wherever we wished. I think this is the prettiest city in Indonesia and recommend the service.

I went on the Surabaya City Tour with Nita (guide) and Lillis (sopir). It was a great morning and they made it a special visit. Thank you to both of them who were excellent company. Nita is sharp and knows the city well and her english is very good. It was the day after Heroes Day and it was great to be at the monument to see the young children dressed in uniforms. My thanks to the team, including Stanley. Highly recommended.

The tour was very interesting as we saw many cultural and historical aspects of this city, and had also a good and traditional Surabaya meal. Thanks to guide Nita we could learn in a pleasant way how the early and recent history has developed.
We visited several areas where you felt like being abroad, such as the Arab quarter.
Also the liberation of Indonesia after WO2 from the Dutch was made vivid to us.
I can recommend this tour if you want to learn and understand more of Surabaya in just one day.

We had Suryono pick 4 of us up at the port. He was on time and the night before he confirmed the reservation and asked us to approve the lunch selection. We were exhausted and hot after many days of tours so we asked him to modify the itinerary. He found a beautiful hotel for us to chillax with some coffee and then brought us to a great souvenir shop. We passed on any mosques and temples after seeing so many. Lunch was delicious. We also asked to skip Chinatown, having been to about 4 others in our recent travels. We finished up at a cigarette museum that was interesting. Suryyono made good use of our time and was happy to comply with our wishes to deviate from his usual plans.

Faizal picked us up at the cruise terminal. He was there waiting for us and helped us into a lovely air conditioned car as one of our party was disabled. He showed us all aspects of the city and we especially like the Arab quarter and spice market which were fascinating.
After a magnificent lunch trying some typical Indonesian food we asked to return to the cruise terminal rather than see the shopping outlets as it was such a hot day.

We made a tour through Surabaya with tour guide Shelley. We really enjoyed it and we saw a lot 👍. Shelley spoke real good English , knew a lot about the city and is very friendly. We can recommend this tour

Wir waren im November mit dem Kreuzfahrtschiff unterwegs und eine Station war Surabaya. Der Tag in Surabaya mit Gusti, unserer Reiseführerin, war einfach toll. Ich hatte eine hervorragende Tourguide, eine junge Dame, die sehr gut englisch spricht, und einen umsichtigen Fahrer. Man kann individuelle Wünsche äussern und sie werden berücksichtigt, sofort in die Tour integriert. Sehr interessant! Und informativ!
