After reading many tour reviews, I decided to book our experience in east Java with this company and I'm so glad, I did it! They took care of all the small details during the entire trip duration and everything went smooth and beyond my expectations. They also adjusted this tour for us with starting point in Bali instead of Surabaya.
We must have been so lucky to have had Rahman as our guide and Fauzi as our driver! They both were always so kind.
Rahman speaks perfect English and is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. Rahman took us to great photo spots in Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall and Ijen crater, we were always in the right place at the right time beating the crowds. We even saw lava in Bromo's crater after sunset and not many tour guides will take you to experience it, it was a big bonus, considering that we were not able to see the blue fire phenomenon in Ijen due to high toxin level at the moment, so the area was closed. He also took many photos and videos of us, he has a very good eye for it ;). We also learned a lot from him.
Visiting these spots in East Jave requires long journeys by car and their car was very comfortable! It was very important to be able to rest during the car drive, since the sightseeings visit is very demanding during the nights and early mornings.
In the end of these 4 days, it felt like saying goodbye to dear friends. I'll never forget this experience and Rahman and Fauzi, thank you so much for making our time in east Java unforgettable!

Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit mit unserem Guide Yogi und Fahrer Faid. Beide waren unglaublich nett und haben uns während des gesamten Ausflugs perfekt betreut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, wie gut sie auf unsere persönlichen Wünsche eingegangen sind. Yogi hat uns viele Empfehlungen für lokale Restaurants und authentisches Essen gegeben, die unsere Reise bereichert haben.
Wir haben uns jederzeit wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Der gesamte Ausflug war wunderbar organisiert und voller beeindruckender Erlebnisse. Ich kann Javaadventuretrail und das Team rund um Yogi und Faid zu 100 % weiterempfehlen!
Vielen Dank für ein unvergessliches Abenteuer!

Wir hatten eine tolle 4-Tagestour zu den schönsten Naturwundern von East-Java. Unser Tourguide und sein Fahrer waren sehr freundlich und haben alles toll erklärt. Wir würden die Tour auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

the tour was very well organized. our guide kèy was super nice and we had a great time. the accommodations were good and the activities were great! you could decide a lot individually. it was definitely worth it!

This was AMAZING!!! Faruq and Yu Yu were the best guides. All three attractions were incredible, I wouldn't have wanted to skip any of them. If you like 1-3 hour hikes, this is literally a dream trip.
Faruq and Yu Yu were really flexible, but always knew what was best to do. They made sure we left on time to catch sunrise at each mountain and before the crowds at the waterfall. They always asked what we wanted to eat and had some options up their sleeve.
The days are long (a few start at 2 am for sunrise and many involve many hours of driving) but it's a vibe. Honestly, after the climbs we were happy to just chill in a van for a few hours.
The van itself is very comfy. With 6 people we could comfortably nap.
All the hotels were really nice and comfortable and clean.
We're so, so glad we did this! It was a 0 stress way to see east Java. Thanks Faruq and Yu Yu, you guys rock :)

We booked a 4D3N trip via WhatsApp with this company. They offered 2 selections: budget and standard package. We chose the standard one.
They arranged everything smoothly. Our tour guide was Tegarr and our diver was Holis. They made the trip a lot easier and more enjoyable for us. Holis is a good driver who was safe and efficient. Tegarr is a young, smart, friendly, and enthusiastic guide who speaks good English. He was happy to answer all of our questions not only about the trip but also about Indonesia and it's culture. He was also a great photographer who was always willing to take photos of us when we requested it. We had tons of great photos and videos because of his effort. Tegarr also recommended several changes to the itinerary that helped us avoid crowds and have several locations all to our selves. Tegarr and Holis also took us to several other places that were not on the initial itinerary and even offered to take us to several more which we had to decline because we were so tired. They even took us to a mobile phone store and helped us resolve problems with our SIM cards. They were both phenomenal and I would definitely recommend both.
Here is our detailed review:
- We started from Kuta, Bali. The company arranged a private car to pick us up at our hotel and take us to Gilimanuk harbor. The ride was ~4 hours and was pretty smooth and comfy.
- Tegarr - our tour guide picked us up at the harbor and started the trip with us the next few days. The trip on the ferry and across the bay was magnificent. I highly recommended it.
- The first hotel near Ijen was Teras Ijen hotel, this was the best hotel during the trip. They offered free bikes, a nice, spacious and clean room that had a balcony view of rice paddies. The restaurant had great food too. They also prepared breakfast at 2 AM for us when we left to Ijen the next morning.
- Ijen crater was fantastic, however, the hike was approximately 6 miles and 5 hours back and forth. It was not easy for beginners, but the view was absolutely stunning.
- We left for Tumpak Sewu around noon, which took about 5 hours. The hotel was Artha Cottage which was the worst hotel during the trip. The room was super small, the bathroom was dirty with mold and poor hot water. The electricity went out 3 times, and the WI-FI did not work 90% of the time we were there. The breakfast was cold even though we had it at 8 AM and they opened at 7 AM. I highly do NOT recommended this hotel. However, as I read, this is the best hotel they have in that town. So I guess it's not the company's fault.
- The trip to Tumpak Sewu waterfall was beautifully exciting! Tegarr helped us to get there very early when there're not many tourists. The trail to the waterfall took about 1 hour back and forth, and it was pretty sketchy and slippery. However, again, the view and scenery were very worth it.
- The last destination was Mount Bromo. We're lucky to choose the different path. Instead of doing the Bromo crater and sunrise viewpoint altogether, Tegarr suggested to go to the crater first to watch the sunset when we arrived. Then we took the hike to the sunrise viewpoint the next morning. That way, we could enjoy both at the best times since everybody else will do both together in one morning. When we're there, the crater was empty so we could really enjoy our time.
The hotel near Bromo was Bromo Terrace which was also not very nice either in our opinions. We looked up the price and it's around $60-$80/night but it's definitely not worth the money. The outside looks nice but the inside was not. The bathroom was not nice, the water was barely lukewarm. There was not AC or heater in the room which is ridiculous because it's pretty cold at night and hot during the day. We're basically shivering through the night. The door of the room was not sealed, it let in air, bugs, and noise. The restaurant was terrible. It took them an hour to prepare a simple meal and the food was terribly bad with super small portion. The breakfast was also not very nice either. However, again we looked it up and it looked like we did not have many other better options around this town. I believe the company tried to choose the best.
Overall, everything about the trip was great except the accommodation. We highly recommend the company and the guides.

If you want to see all these highlights in a short time frame this tour is a must-do. Keep in mind this is also strenuous ( early stand-ups). But the views and impressions are worth it.
Our guide Rahman was very courteous, knew the best photo points and even turned out to be a nearly photo-professional.

We really enjoyed the tour. Everything worked great & reliable from start to finish. The homestays were also top! Riko was a great driver and drove us safely from A to B. Theo a great guide who showed us everything and told us even more about the respective places. I can absolutely recommend the tour!

We loved the tour very much. It was a sporty, adventurous and unique tour.
A special thanks goes to our great tour guide Yogi and our driver Rossi, who took us safely from one destination to the other on the partly long distances.
Yogi put a lot of effort into it and was very considerate - he didn't spare an extra mile.
From the superb viewing point on KingKong Hill to the blue crater lake of Mount Ijen, it was a really successful trip that we would do again at any time. Of the accommodations, we particularly liked the Didu’s Homestay.
Thanks for the great experience in East Java.

Our guides were fantastic! Their suggestions made our trip unforgettable! Dino was a great guide, explaining any doubts we had and making our trip as easy as possible:) Dano was an excellent excellent driver! Much better than our Fernando Alonso! :) They were both attentives, really kind and keeping an eye on us at all times.

Hello, I’m wondering if the driver will accompany me all the way to my hotel in Bali or will drop me at the port of Banyuwangi? It’s important because the transportation after arriving at Gilimanuk seems complicated. Thanks
