The tour did not match the description. It was written that I could view the Sibayak volcano from Gundaling Hill for 30 minutes but we did not stop there. It was mentioned that we would stop for 30 minutes at Brastagi Highland, surrounded by two active volcanoes, but we did not stop there and did not see the volcanoes. We stopped at the Sipiso Piso Waterfall and Lake Toba was visible too. We visited Lingga Cultural Village, which according to the map is not Dokan Batak Village but quite similar. We stopped to see a fruit market, Taman Alam Lumbini Temple and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church which were not mentioned in the description. The tour was interesting and gave a good insight into local culture but I cannot give five stars because I paid for a different tour. Another thing – the driver made me feel uncomfortable, so I am supposed to remove another star. He asked for a tip aggressively. At first, he was pretending that he was joking but after that he asked insistently and persistently. I have spent nine weeks in total in Indonesia, visiting five different islands, and this was the first time when something like this happened.

We are sorry that the tour did not meet all your expectations and that parts of the itinerary did not align with what you anticipated. Regarding Gundaling Hill, your driver Erwan, informed us that he did take you there as planned, but unfortunately, the weather was very cloudy at the time, and the views of the volcano were obstructed. We understand how disappointing this can be and truly regret that the experience fell short.
We also wanted to clarify that the views of Berastagi Highland, as mentioned in the description, include those seen from both Gundaling Hill and Sipiso Piso Waterfall. While you were able to enjoy these views from Sipiso Piso, we regret any misunderstanding about how the itinerary was structured.
The visit to the fruit market was indeed part of the itinerary, but we understand that the additional stops, such as Taman Alam Lumbini Temple and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, were not clearly communicated. These stops were intended to enhance your experience, but we will ensure better communication in the future.
Lastly, we are deeply concerned about your experience with the driver’s behavior. It is completely unacceptable for any guest to feel uncomfortable due to inappropriate conduct. We take this issue very seriously and will address it with the driver directly to ensure it does not happen again.
We appreciate your kind remarks about the cultural insights the tour offered despite the challenges you faced. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any frustration or disappointment caused. We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with an improved and truly exceptional experience.

We have just had 12 days in Sumarta and I can wholeheartedly recommend Tri Jaya Tours , Super helpful, very good at communication, and their people were fantastic. We did a 7 day tour the driver Erwan was brilliant, the guides they used in Bukit Lawang and Mt Sibayak where also fantastic. We used Tri Jaya to arrange a few days in Banda Aceh as well and their local chap Mr Bob was again very helpful.

Our guide, Mr Ilham is very professional, resoectful & accommodative to my family's need & requests. He is also a very attentive & skillfull driver when managing the traffic.

It was a 12 hour day due to the distance, the traffic and also heavy rain which affected the road with flooding water. The driver (Ilham) was a careful driver and we felt safe. The points of interest were well worth the drive. In particular, the visit and local guide at the traditional village was excellent, as was the walk to the bottom of the Sipiso piso Waterfall. I definitely recommend this company and tour.

We had the most incredible day, the itinerary is great but the stand out for us was our driver and guide Erwan. His knowledge was vast and he always had something to tell you on the long car journeys, inbetween all of the terrible jokes that had us laughing all day. He truly made it an amazing day filled with stories, history and fun.
The tour itself is very good with lots to see and do although the drive is long there is lots to see on the way which Erwan took great pleasure in explaining.
Book this tour and ask for Erwan!

My tour guide, Mr. Ari and our driver, Mr. Ali were friendly, skillful, knowledgeable, and fun to be with. I saw and experienced amazing sights and gained an incredible insight into Sumatran history and culture. I had a truly once in lifetime experience!

We had tailored travel on Sumatra revisiting places where we were ten years ago. Tri Jaya where very receptive to our wishes and came up with very competent ideas. The driver where a very pleasant companion, careful driving, and a great knowledge about the places we visited. When Tri Jaya recommended local guides it where very good people too.

I highly recommend Tri Jaya Tours through Hotel Deli River for all your tours while visiting Medan. As soon as I found Hotel Deli River and Tri Jaya, I had a wonderful stay in Medan and great tour experience. The company is family run and ensure that your experience is comfortable and safe. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler, the drivers and tour guides were careful and I had a wonderful time on each tour I tried ( I also visited Bukit Lawang and Mt. Sibayak as well)

The driver came on time and tried his very best to communicate with us even with his little command of English, he ensures we are well and tries to introduce as much as he could. Kuddos to him for his effort!
As for the tour, its really a great place with a great view and and a great weather. However, the time taken to the places of interest were rather long not because of the distance nor the driver but the traffic conditions at times were terrible and only with 1 or 2 lanes most of the times with no highways. Do expect to spend at least 6 to 7 hours in the car to and fro. We started at 8am and ended at 8pm at our hotel. So 12 hours with 7 hours in the car that brings you to 5 hours actual time to enjoy the places. But i would say its good to go if yoh love views sich as nature, waterfalls, lakes and lovely weather. If the mentioned is not your thang than i would advise not to waste your time.
For me, i love the sights so im in for this experience.

Wir wurden pünktlich in unserem Hotel in Medan abgeholt. Wir wollten zusätzlich zur regulären Tour den Mount Sibayak (aktiver Vulkan, sehr empfehlenswert, Auf- und Abstieg ca. 2,5 Std.) besteigen. Unser Fahrer hat dann einen Guide organisiert (400k Rp. per person) und uns diesen Wunsch ermöglicht. Alle anderen Programmpunkte durften wir trotzdem erleben und die Ankunft in Medan war dafür etwas später am Abend.
Sowohl der Guide als auch der Fahrer waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Unserer Fahrer hatte zudem eine sehr gute Fahrweise und brachte uns sicher und zügig durch das Verkehrschaos.

I will be alone travelling to Medan in October for a private function for 2-3 days. Then I would like to tour around Medan and to visit the Batak Village and Lake Toba for the next 4 days.
