We had an amazing time on our Africa Adventure! The Shadows of Africa Team could not have done a better job of planning our trip for our budget. We couldn't have asked for two better guides and we enjoyed all the places we stayed. Paul guided us in Rwanda and Uganda for gorilla trekiing and Moody guided us in Tanzania for the safari. They both were patient, answered all our silly questions and both seemed so passionate about their own country and educated us on so many things. Also, want to say they both were a heck of a lot of fun too and we enjoyed their company a lot. We started our trip in Rwanda. We met Paul our guide for the gorilla trekking and right away we were impressed with Paul. We chose to go to the Bwindi National Forest to see the gorillas so we had to drive from Rwanda to Uganda. Paul started out showing us a map of where we were going and educating us on the drive ahead of us. My husband and I were so happy we chose to go to Uganda as the drive was incredible, not only was the countryside beautiful, so were the people. We were able to see a gorilla family of seven and it was nothing less than surreal to see them in their natural habitat and hiking to see them. We then met Moody in Tanzania for the safari part of our trip. Moody, like Paul, went over and above to make sure our trip was successful. He would drive a little later or try extra hard to find us the animals we wanted to see. We would say "we sure would like to see a Cheetah or ", then all of sudden Moody found what we asked for. In fact, he found us 14 Cheetahs and the Big 5! We highly recommend Shadows of Africa. Thank you Jake and the Shadows of Africa Team for everything! We will never forget this trip.

We spent from October 27 until November 2 with these guys. We not only did Arusha, but Ngorangora crater and the Serengeti with these guys. They are very professional and knowledgeable about the whole region. They put us up close to the animals all over Tanzania. Our driver Loma Jeramia was fantastic. Very personable and caring. You cannot go wrong doing a Safari with these guys.

We traveled to Africa with Fun Happening Travel Group out of Nashville TN. Michael uses-what he described as the best Safari company in Africa. SHADOWS of AFRICA. He was spot in about this statement. Our group of 42 people. We’re picked up in Arusha by seven land rovers and seven amazing guides. We had the opportunity to be paired with guide, Lomayani Jeremia the best of the best in all aspects of this profession. His experience and knowledge of his country, culture and animals was amazing. He had the personality and demeanor that made us so comfortable. As we traveled through Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park, with Lomayani and the Shadow s of Africa guides it was obvious that other companies guides looked up to our guides especially Lomayani. We can not explain the experience we had with these guides. We actually saw the Big Five on this Safari. This is very rare. These guys worked 12 hours a day to make sure we experienced a five star safari. We truly appreciated there joy and desire to serve. As we spent seven days with these guys we developed a life long friendship with them. We have shared contact information, pictures of our families with hopes to stay in touch with this guys. We shared a few tears as we departed these guys. It is hard to explain but this trip will change you. The guides Joy and Love for their country will change how you think about what we have. It was comforting that we were able to pray with Lomayani prior to leaving. We wish Lomayani and the others guide the best. May they be Blessed Beyond Measure.

We just finished a week safari with Shadows of Africa. Everything was so well planned. They anticipated our every need and made us so comfortable everywhere we stayed and during the jeep rides. The itinerary was really well thought out and we were briefed really thoroughly before starting and the only surprises were that we got more than we expected including hot lunches set out
on a table cloth with chilled wine in the middle of the safari. Our guide Loma really made the experience unforgettable. His experience became really clear when he repeatedly anticipated what the animals would do, getting us in the best positions to see them up close, long before other jeeps had cought up. he was kind and patient and sometimes did really long days where he drove for hours, always staying alert and spotting animals, sometimes when we could only manage with direction and binoculars.

Where to start, really really an amazing experience with Shadows of Africa, we make a Safari through Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara last three days and we were able to see almost all the big fives from different spot and environments. All the thing planned went really smooth and we enjoy every single moment of the journey. A particular thank to Loma, our guide, who share his experience (really a lot of good insights!!!!) with us and drive us to all the best spot for animals but also places where did experiences like the Maasai village and some local markets. He’s really a good person and I truly recommend him for your Safari, he’s always avaible for all your questions with a big smile in his face! So again, choose Shadows of Africa and ask for him for you travel! Thank you Shadows of Africa for the amazing experience and asante to Loma for your company and guide! Hope to see you again in the future

Het was een super gezellige trip. We hebben prachtige dieren gezien. Het was super fijn dat het allemaal heel goed geregeld was: elke keer stond er een chauffeur klaar om ons op te halen en we kwamen in de mooiste lodges. Het is niet één keer voorgekomen dat er niemand klaar stond voor ons. Onze gids Charles was heel gezellig. Het was fijn dat hij de hele tijd met ons mee ging gedurende de anderhalve week dat we in Tanzania waren. We kenden hem aan het einde van de week goed en dat gaf een veilig gevoel.

Unser Guide kam uns zur 1. Lodge holen und die Symphatie war direkt da.
Wir waren sehr froh mit dem Fahrer Khaled (Djanga)
Er konnte uns sehr viel über die Kultur der Menschen, Tiere und Natur geben. Er hatte auf jede Frage eine Antwort.
Jeder Safari Tag wurde von uns bestimmt (Uhrzeit). Wir hatten jeden Mittag warmes Essen, welches Kahled uns immer sehr liebevoll servierte. Wir hatten den Urlaub unseres Lebens und würden es jeder Zeit wieder so tun!

This was my fourth visit to Eastern Africa, second to the parks of Tanzania including the Serrengh and my first trip with Shadows of Africa. The trip was very very good. Their equipment and vehicles are excellent. Our guide, Loma, was exceptional. His knowledge of the area plus his personnel life experience in the area made for plenty of an incredible days safariing. .
