This tour was well organised from the beginning to the end and didn't involve a really early start. We wanted to do a snorkeling tour from Khao Lak but not be on a speed boat for hours. It was a local long tail boat that started from a village in the mangroves. As we left the pier a group of monkeys were playing in the trees and jumping in the water. Our guide, Garfield, was easy to understand and kept us well informed throughout the day. The snorkeling was such a great experience. The coral was good and there was a great variety of fish. The highlight being coming across a beautiful pink and orange Pharoah Cuttlefish. We had several encounters we haven't had on many trips in different countries. Next we motored to the deserted beach for lunch. Even though it started to shower lunch was very tasty and the beach is beautiful.

This was a trip we would definitely do again the guide Aman was lovely, he explained about the fishing village where we got the boat from to take us snorkelling, we practically had the sea to ourselves, Aman let us know what to look out for and kept an eye on us to make sure we did not drift to far, the lunch on the beach was amazing the beach we also had to ourselves.

Wir waren heute mit Kiwi unserem Guide unterwegs, super Verständigung mit ihr, sie hat sehr viel erklärt und gezeigt. Das beste war, dass sie zum Schnorcheln mit ins Wasser kam und uns dabei geholfen hat die schönsten Dinge zu sehen. Überragend war ebenso, dass Essen am einsamen Strand. Zudem gab es immer kühle Getränke und Snacks von ihr. Zur Rückfahrt wurde uns dann ein Frischetuch gegeben. Würden den Ausflug immer wieder buchen, allein schon wegen solch einem tollen Guide.

If you’re looking for a relaxed day on a traditional long boat, no crowds, experience local snorkelling along with a deserted beach in Khao lak then don’t hesitate to book this trip.
Our guide ‘man’ was welcoming, spoke great English and was brilliant. We were lucky enough to see monkeys playing on a beach too!
The communication from the company was spot on.
A fantastic lunch was provided along with soft drinks (cola & water) all day.
We were picked up at a decent time in the morning, then taken on a short drive to where we picked up the boat. A steady trip to the location of snorkelling followed where we could spend as much time as we wished, then back onto the boat for our journey to the beach & lunch - one word = WOW
We stayed as long as we wanted then jumped back onto the boat to head back for our return pick up
We wished we’d booked our other trip with this company (we booked a trip to the phi phi islands through our tour guide tui and feel we were let down with what we sold.
We would definitely recommend this trip 100% and use this company again!

Super toller Ausflug. Wir waren nur zu 4. Als Familie unterwegs (2 Erwachsene, ein Kind und ein Baby), obwohl wir einen Gruppenausflug gebucht hatten. Erst wurden wir mit dem Auto zum Anleger gefahren (30-40min) dann ging es auf das Boot für ca eine Stunde insgesamt, da erst noch eine Runde durch den Mangrovenwald und dem Fischereihafen gefahren sind bis wir am Riff ankamen. Da wir uns wegen des Babys immer abwechseln mussten mit Schnorcheln haben wir mit dem (bzw der) Guide besprochen nur an dem Ort zu schnorcheln und keinen 2. Spot anzufahren. Nach dem Schnorcheln ging es ca 40 min bis wir zum versteckten (vom Mangrovenwald aus gesehen) Strand. Dieser war traumhaft schön und hatte tolle Wellen. Leider schlug schon während des leckeren Essens das Wetter um und es fing an zu regnen während wir noch ein schnelles Bad am Strand genommen haben. Aufgrund der Wetterlage und der Gezeiten sind wir dann schnell zurück zum Boot und im strömenden Tropenregen ca 30 min zurück zum Anleger gefahren - auch eine Erfahrung 😅. Während der ganzen Zeit hat sich unsere Guide ganz liebevoll mit um unsere große Tochter und auch um unser leibliches Wohl gekümmert und auch noch tolle Fotos gemacht, neben interessanten Erklärungen. Sie hat die Tour besonders gemacht!
wir würden die Tour- grade mit Kindern- jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Kein Massentourismus, es wird auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet und auf individuelle Wünsche wird eingegangen. Das Riff mag zwar nicht so toll sein wie die weiter entfernten Inseln aber ist auch schön und wenn man zum ersten Mal (oder zumindest noch nicht so oft) Schnorchelt auf jeden Fall ein tolles Erlebnis.

Thank you so much for your detailed review! I know our guided (Kiwi) was very happy when she read it. As you say, this trip is prefect for both adults and children. You were a bit unlucky with the weather on the way back to the pier, but even in the rain the mangroves are beautiful.

Nice day event and well organized. Small group of three people. Snorkeling spot was fine. Lunch at the beach has been very nice as well.

We had the loveliest tour guide Air who was genuinely friendly and made sure we were having a great trip! We wanted to learn some Thai phrases and we had fun with her teaching us on the car journey to the pier. We did this tour during rainy season so we weren’t sure whether the reef would be clear enough to snorkel in but luckily for us it was fine and we got to see so many types of fish and coral! We then went to a deserted beach which would’ve been beautiful however the beach was littered with ocean plastic trash. This wasn’t the tour’s fault, during the high season the park rangers and volunteers clean up the beach regularly but in low season they do it less often. It was still insightful for us and reminded us how humans have polluted the ocean with our plastic usage and it was quite a profound moment that will make us go an rethink how we use products and recycle. Nonetheless, the beach was still beautiful with really soft white sand. Air then laid out a spread of food for lunch and it was delicious! Especially the massaman curry! It was a really great tour however I would recommend it more if you’re here during the high/dry season where you’ll get really clear snorkelling and a clean, beautiful beach. Air was a fantastic guide, so so lovely, and we were really happy we had her as our guide!

Thank you so very much for wringing us such a detailed review! It is great to hear that you such a good day out with Air and the team. You were very lucky with the weather too! It is always a shame that there is so much trash on the beach. Unfortunately, this is a global problem and we do get a lot of trash washing up at this time of year. We do try to do our best to avoid adding to it by removing all single use plastics from our tours. And we try to do regular beach cleans during quieter periods.
I am very happy that you enjoyed your trip, and I hope we will be seeing you back again very soon. Maybe in the high season.

Exceptional experience from beginning to end. Our host Air was gracious helpful and kind. The snorkelling is top notch and the beach experience is equally fantastic. We highly recommend.

Absolutely breathtaking, with such care and attention from our guide, Mhan, and the boat crew. We opted for the private tour, which was exceptional. Our tour guide took pity on the useless swimmers, getting in the water, even giving us a tour of the reef and the fish, pointing out the unique sights. We had a lovely lunch at the beach, with toilet and shower facilities, and had refreshments throughout the whole tour, finishing off with a cold face towel. The boat crew was so good helping us up and around the boat.

Fantastic trip and highly recommended! We didn't want to spend hours on a boat with our 8 year old going to the more crowded places like Surin or Similan so this was the perfect day trip for us. Pick up on time at 9.30am, then 20 mins to the pier and another 30 mins on the long tail boat (very calm and no sea sickness!) to our snorkelling spot. Snorkelling was amazing and we saw lots of coral and fish. Another 30 mins on the boat to the beach which was beautiful and not crowded at all, plus lunch was delicious. Our guide Air was fabulous and looked after us so well and made our day so special. We also loved the focus on the environment and the "take only pictures and leave only footprints" mentality - we each got our own refillable water bottle and everything brought on the trip was taken back again leaving no rubbish at the beautiful locations. If I could give the experience more than 5 stars I would. Will definitely go again when we return to Thailand in future.
