Instagram-worthy day, at a bargain price

What an amazing, packed day! It was a well thought-out itinerary which meant that we were able to see the main attractions of Chiang Rai. Our tour guide Wam was very knowledgeable and friendly- such a lovely person! I would 100% recommend this tour because it’s affordable and you get to learn more about Thailand’s north that you otherwise wouldn’t get to know if you were sightseeing on your own. It’s also a great way of meeting solo travellers (if you’re alone) 😊 everything we visited was amazing. I would say the highlights were the White Temple 🤩😻 and visiting the Karen long neck tribe 😲😮😯 lunch was also very tasty 🍜

Super um viel zu sehen

Die Tour ist super, wenn man innerhalb kürzester Zeit viel sehen möchte. Ich persönlich hatte beim Long Neck Tribe ethische Bedenken und habe draußen gewartet. War kein Problem.

The White temple is incredible.

The White temple was incredible, worth the trip. After seeing the White temple the Blue temple was not so impressive. Lunch was simple but delicious at a small local restaurant. The guide was great. I think the trip was a bit rushed, would have liked more time at the white temple. Trip to golden triangle was ok, but I would say not essential. Unfortunately, we were there in early March and smog was really bad. We were in Thailand for 12 days and did not see any blue sky at all.

Loved visiting the borders and learning about the history of everything

Gai was so informative and friendly and it was a fun time getting to see everything. The white and blue temples are relatively modern, beautifully designed. I (and a few others) chose not to go into the Long Neck village for my own ethical concerns and they were respectful of that. The highlight for me personally was getting a chance to visit the northern most point of Thailand and the Golden triangle and to see what the border looks like there. But then, I'm generally someone fascinated with borders and how and why they were drawn the way they are. The opium museum at the Golden Triangle was fascinating to learn about the history of opium growth and trade in the region, as well as a showcase of all the tools used to make and consume it. Would certainly recommend this tour!

Good tour.

Overall a very good tour. Saw lots of temples, the black house was very good. Tour guide was informative and very friendly. Was a bit disappointed with how many of the temples seemed to be there just for tourists, but that isn’t the tour operators fault.

A million rice fields, 9 tourists, 1 van

Diverse and informative tour - covering a lot of ground (overlooking 3 countries at the border with Myanmar/Laos), fun and paced just right for 10 hrs. Great and relevant tour guide dropping in fascinating history and cultural importance in a v gentle and user-friendly style.

Super tour dans le nord de la Thaïlande

Une très belle sortie d’une journée avec des sites très intéressants à voir comme le temple blanc et le temple bleu très différent d’autres temples que j’avais visité dans le passé. Le point le plus au nord de la Thaïlande à frontière du Myanmar et le triangle d’or avec la visite du musée de l’opium deux autres sites intéressants. Un autre highlight de la journée le rencontre avec la tribu des longnecks et pour le détente une dégustation de thé auprès d’un grand cultivateur de thé.

Wonderful Experience

Had a really good time in this tour. It covers all the major attractions within Chiang Rai. You start early and you end the tour by 5.30pm. We were supposed to be dropped off at the mall but they offered to send us all back to our respective hotels instead.

There a total of 8 stops and duration per stop were just about right (20-40 mins each).

My only gripe was I didn't get to seat next to my partner on the van & got separated because we were the last to be picked up. Otherwise, it was great.
