We had a 6 hour private tour with Kiwi who speaks good English. It was by far the best tour we had on our four and a half month trip through Southeast Asia.
Our program:
Making rice noodles, weaving mats (from plants), boat trip, fish sauce factory, coffee roasting, eating mì quảng.
We were able to set the start time and the points ourselves. For example, we were able to exchange the rice wine tasting with a basket boat trip. During the boat trip, my camera fell into the water and I was pike after it. Kiwi therefore took us to a local shop and bought me new clothes. She didn't even want money for it. During the tour, Kiwi learned that it was our honeymoon and surprised us with a cake after dinner. What a conclusion 🥰
We can recommend the tour 1000%! It was a really wonderful day!
PS. The camera survived.

If you like seeing the real people behind the making of food in Hoi An, this the trip for you. We did a number of the ‘tourist’ things before this trip not realising that we had walked/cycled past so many amazing mini industries seemingly hidden from view.
Quinni was the most excellent guide who opened our eyes to these magical places.
These people literally dedicate their life to their craft and it shows. The Cao Láo guy, the ‘Kung Fu’ cake lady, the Bean sprout guy, the Taro cake guy, the Banana fritter lady, the black sesame soup guy, all amazing stories to give you a true perspective on what it means to be masters of what they do.
It’s an early start but essential to catch all of this before they take a break. Take heart in that all of the guys you meet will have been up much earlier than you.
An absolute recommend from us.

Our favourite tour to date!
This small grp tour provides intimate & insightful information of the local Hoi A life; its people and culinary history.
It’s evidently clear how much the tour guides value and respect Hoi An & its people- a true delight to witness.

We had such a unique experience on this tour. It felt really authentic. We met local people of Hoi An who were all excited to host us and share their craft with us. Most experiences we would have never been able to have without this tour such as seeing famous Lau Cao noodles being made and taste the original Hoi An black sesame soup. Thank you to our guides Emily and Nga!!

Such an amazing tour! Our guides Queenie and Leo were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We ate SO MUCH good food (come hungry) and learned a lot about the town. I loved going to the noodle factory and walking by the rice fields. I absolutely recommend this tour!

Hidden Gems of Old Hoi An was an amazing tour and time! Queenie and Leo were the best guides and along with Kiwi made our crew feel like family for four hours. They were so thoughtful and knowledgeable and introduced us to a side of Hoi An we never would have seen without their local expertise. This was a highlight of the holiday I would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely marvelous experience! The guides , "Kiwi" and "Hogwarts" were splendid, so well informed and kind (I am elderly and needed some help) and their itinerary couldn't have been more interesting. Highly recommended, especially for foodies!!!

Being met at our hotel and transported to our meeting place really started the tour well! Our 2 guides Kiwi & Quinni were friendly and so full of enthusiasm to share Hoi Ans' history & Vietnamese culture They were well prepared sharing stories then introducing us to local families visiting the wet makets, showing us how the food we eat connected to the people in this beautiful area
We tasted local specialties and the food didn't disappoint. Highly recommend this tour! Great value for money and certainly one of the best tours we've been on

Our tour starts at 8:00 am in the morning or 15:00 in the afternoon. It is culture walking food tour that you'll enjoy the flavor of the region with local touch.
