Mr Dung was a great guide. He gave lots of information during the tour about the food we were trying. Heaps of variety in the places we went to. With some extra surprise stops on the way. Lots of food but can share with those you are traveling with.

My wife and I enjoyed this food tour. Mr Thịnh was an excellent guide. All was great and perfect. 5 ⭐️

Mr Dung took just my husband and I to five places to eat Hoi A local foods, some famous, some we would not have found ourselves. He explained each dish and how to eat it and showed us the water well essential to the local noodles. We enjoyed our evening and ate too much, of course, thank you!

Sam and Didi were fantastic tour guides. They weren’t pushy or rushed us- instead, they gave us an insightful experience and taste of Hoi An. They’re kindness and knowledge helped us immerse ourselves and learn the cultural of Hoi An. A great thing to do if you aren’t sure what to eat! Highly recommend Sam and Didi’s tour.

This was the second of 5 food tours that my husband and I did in Vietnam and the first of 3 that I booked through Culture Pham Travel, which was great when it came to booking and communications. Our meeting point for this tour was a good 30-minute walk from our hotel. I wish we had started at the first stop, which was a little closer, especially when they realized that we were the only 2 people booked for that day, but I know the first stop can sometimes be a bit busy. We were met by Mr. Dung “Kawee,” and he was a great guide at all of the different stops. This was very much a food-focused tour (not a lot of extra history or culture even though food is a huge part of culture), and we definitely left full.
What I loved about this tour was that there were so many Hoi An specialties like white rose dumplings and cao lau noodles. I was also glad that while there was some deviation from what the website description said (the cao lau noodles and BBQ stops were separated into 2 stops instead of 1, so we didn’t have Quang noodles), we did go to the banh mi shop made famous by Anthony Bourdain’s visit years ago. I think we had better banh mi, even in Hoi An, but I would’ve sought Banh Mi Phuong out separately if we hadn’t known it was part of the tour. It was nice that it was included. We ended a little earlier than expected, but that’s probably just because it wound up being a private tour.

Thank you to Jackie for a great evening sampling the local foods of Hoi An. We were taken to restaurants that we would not have tried on our own. Great variety of food and plenty of it. You will not be hungry after this!

Our food tour had lots of amazing things to eat and we got to see lots of great cultural aspects of hoi an and the old town. The banh mi was incredible. Our guide Mike was super knowledgeable, extremely upbeat and friendly, can’t recommend him enough

I was only taken to 2 of the 5 places that are mentioned on the tour description. The tour guide was nice enough to take me to other places that he said were local favorites but in reality it seemed like he was just trying to find any place open that served what the other places had. So, before you book it, ask the tour guide to tell you which places they will take you. Also, a little expensive for what you get.

Diego Meneses did this tour with our local guide Mr. Dung, he ate all the foods mentioned in the itinerary already. There were 2 local businesses closed on that date (absolutely we are not the owners of the local businesses) and our tour guide already took him to all the places listed to make sure we did everything as described in the tour itinerary and asked Diego Meneses to eat the same foods at different places (the replacement for closed places) and he agreed. One day after the travel date, he requested a 60% refund for the tour and I refused and reported to customer care and Viator support via Chat support already. We did everything and tried our best to help him to enjoy the tour even though he was a solo traveler on the travel date but his review is a revenge because we refused his refund request. I have all his WhatsApp messages about this. We always refund customers if they made a wrong booking or our mistakes but this is 100% an act of revenge. We did everything and he ate all the foods listed in the itinerary. We value all good or bad reviews because they will help us improve our service quality but we can not accept this review from Diego Meneses because it is not true.

We had 5 different food places to visit but due to weather conditions, monsoon rains all day flooded several streets, we only visited 4 of the stalls. the food was lovely and very original. By the time we got to the last place we were struggling to eat much as all stalls provided high quality and large dishes of food. A great way to spend an evening

I am interested in booking a food tour but can you confirm if an alternative restaurant can be offered in place of bánh mì phượng due to the recent food poisoning health reports? It’s not worth the risk as so many people have been violently ill & hospitalised after eating from their premises recently this year . Please advise if an alternative location will be offered on the tour ? Thank you.
