Dai was amazing! He was so easy to talk to and get along with - it felt like going for a bike ride with a friend. We learned a lot about the area and Japanese culture in general. The route was also well thought out. Although it was a very hot day, the cycling wasn't too difficult due to the e-bikes. We would happily do this again if we ever came back.

Wow!! What an absolutely spectacular day with Dai. This is definitely a highlight of our trip and a nice balance to our urban days in Tokyo and Kyoto. We are a family of four with two kids ages 12 and 14, and two adults. Between the four of us, we have very different levels of physical fitness but with the E bikes everyone was happy! The scenery is spectacular but most of all Dai was such an incredible guide and answered many of our questions about Japan. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend you book this trip!

Our charming and knowledgeable host Dai gave us a real insight into the town and its environs. He first ensured that we were familiar with the E-bikes and their controls, then explained briefly where we were going and why.
It was the first time I'd used an electric bike, but it's easy to master, and makes even fairly steep inclines a breeze! Dairy went at our pace, and we were quickly moving along the Hida River and then exploring further afield. It's a beautiful area, well worth a visit. Don't expect castles, cities and crowds; do look forward to a slower pace, lovely scenery and company as well as an insight into rural Japanese life.

Thank you so much for coming and posting a fantastic review about the morning we spent together in the rural part of Hida. Yes, you got a point. We do not have any fancy shops, buildings nor restaurants in the area but we are so proud of the nature. This tour is absolutely not made for common tourists but for someone like you who want to enjoy differences from big cities or love to learn and feel the local culture or lifestyle. An excellent tour with a great host, Dai. A must do if you want to get away from the main tourist area and experience real rural Japan. Easy to use e- bikes, small group and guide made this tour a pleasure. Tip from tour guide led us to a great lunch in town at a nice little Italian- Japanese place.

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.
Whether you're an avid cyclist, a Japanese culture enthusiast, or simply someone in search of beauty and authenticity outside of the traditional big touristy cities, this experience will undoubtedly surpass your expectations.
The landscapes we biked through were like living paintings, each turn revealing vistas that took our breath away. From verdant rice fields that seemed to glow under the sun, to quaint villages that whispered stories of yesteryears, every scene was a testament to Japan’s natural beauty and its meticulous care for harmony.

We did the half day bike tour, it was fantastic. Our guide, Dai, was knowledgeable and accommodating. We learned about rural life in Japan, and really felt like we were off the "tourist trail" exploring the local area. The e-bikes helped us up some longer climbs and we returned really pleased with the tour. Thanks Dai!

Nice bike ride in a valley where you can see life outside the tourist areas. Very high-quality e-bikes from Panasonic, which are welcome for the steep climb and descent. The guidance by Dai was great and we received a lot of explanation about life in this valley.

What a great experience to bike thanks to Dai in the region of Hida-Hagiwara and Maze in between the beautiful Hida and Maze rivers. Thanks to the e-bike, we could easily pass the gentle slopes of the area, enjoy quiet and silent villages and valleys, see falcons and other birds playing on the river, we could even have seen the famous Hida cattle. Dai was a great guide giving time to pauses where we learnt about the local life. A memorable afternoon.

We had a great morning with Dai on the E Bikes. It was such a great experience to ride around rural Japan and see communities that you wouldn’t normally see just visiting the large cities.
The weather was perfect with light falling snow and we stopped by a tiny cafe for coffee and to warm up which was just lovely.
Beautiful scenery and would highly recommend this trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed our half day cycling tour in Hida. Far from any other tourists but easily accessible from Takayama.
Very professional from the booking process, the guiding and the quality and standard of the assisted E bikes.
Highly recommend and great to support a small, local business!
