A fantastic guide and a must-do tour!

Sylvain was an amazing guide and I can't recommend his tour enough. He gave us so many insights into the city and showed us so many things off the beaten path. We really enjoyed the surprise animated clock, the shrine, the shopping suggestions, and learning about the spring water sources you could fill your water bottle at throughout the city. Of course the castle was fantastic and all the extra details Sylvain shared made it even more memorable.

He was polite, professional, and he went above and beyond to help us and make our experience enjoyable. Book this tour before it gets sold out! Matsumoto turned out to be one of our favorite cities in Japan and I think Sylvain had a lot to do with making it a favorite as we got to learn so much about the town from him.

Definitely a great way to start your visit

This was a perfect way to get to know more about Matsumoto. We loved all the information, the casual approach to it all, and the castle was the highlight. A nice relaxed pace with a kind informative guide. He also gave many suggestions for thing to do and places to eat—-and put them in my phone. It was perfect.

More than a castle town

I don't normally go for private tours, but I'm glad I did. My Matsumoto trip was excellent because I came out of it with a better appreciation of it's local history and the history that ties it with the rest of the prefecture. Sylvain was an excellent guide he highlighted the history of the city very well and made the experience as more than seeing the castle. If you ever end up in Matsumoto for the first time maybe consider going around with Sylvain.

Un verdadero tour personalizado

Mi visita a Matsumoto no hubiera sido la misma sin la guía de Sylvain. Aunque es un lugar imprescindible que visitar en Japón por su castillo, no creo que lo hubiera aprovechado y disfrutado tanto sin Sylvain. Se me pasó volando el tiempo. Además de la explicación del castillo en profundidad y bien documentada pude disfrutar de otros lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad. Sylvain atendiendo a mis preferencias e intereses fue adaptando la visita.
Un tour 100 % recomendable con la guía de Sylvain, muy profesional y muy completo gracias a su experiencia de vida en Japón, su conocimiento de la ciudad y cultura que compartió en todo momento con mucha amabilidad y atención. Esto hizo que disfrutara mucho mi visita a Matsumoto. Gracias Sylvain!!

My Matsumoto trip was AWESOME, thanks to Sylvain! I intended to only see the castle on this trip. When i originally contacted Sylvain, he asked me what else i may be interested in and suggested many things. I ended up doing activities i would have never considered! It was such fun. Sylvain is professional, knowledgeable and courteous!
