Our guide shrimp was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of good information. The pace of the tour was just right for our group and we got to see the highlights of Shizuoka.

7 of us took this tour. We docked on a cruise ship and were met at the port by the tour guide, Hiroko, holding a name-sign
For the next ; hours we toured Shimizu. We went on the rope way ( cable car) to the shrine, saw Mount Fuji, went to a small tea plantation and a lovely pine grove near the beach. Hiroko the tour guide and her driver were excellent and the minibus was comfortable and very clean.
This was a very good value shore tour and is heartily recommended.

Our excellent tour guide, Makoto, made the trip fun and interesting. The van was perfect and our driver did a fabulous job of keeping us safe, getting us to locations ahead of all the crowds and keeping it cool. Hirokane, communicated with me from the time I booked the tour and ensured our meeting at the port went smoothly. Top notch team. Would recommend highly

This was our last of 8 stops on our tour and cruise of Japan. This was by far the best! Miyuki was a spectacular guide, she was so friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommended this tour!

Excellent tour of Shimizu! Our tour guide Motoko was very sweet and knowledgeable. They were also very prompt and organized. Even though it was a rainy day and we could not see Mount Fuji she made it very enjoyable. Saw a beautiful shrine and temple, a tea farm and the sacred pine forest near the beach. She made it fun for teens as well! Highly recommend!

Our tour with Miyuki was so fun. Even with the weather not cooperating with our agenda to see Mt Fuji, Miyuki’s knowledge of the area and history of Shimizu, as well as her jokes and delightful personality made up for the mountain being hidden by the rain and clouds. Visiting the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine was a highlight. Thank you Hirokane, for being so accommodating and rebooking our tour after it was inadvertently canceled. Thank you for a wonderful day, Miyuki, you went above and beyond to see to our comfort and enjoyment.

While in Shimizu port, we had a private for our tour that took us to a beautiful shrine and also a viewing area of Mount Fuji. The day was clear and we saw Mount Fuji. We were all very excited. In addition, we also visited a volcanic Beach and also took a gondola up a mountain, we were a group of eight from our cruise and we had a driver and a wonderful guide, Hiroko. Our guide was so wonderful, wonderful accommodating and very knowledgeable. She was able to tell us the history and the cultural information from each of the areas. This was a wonderful day as I said it was only four hours, but we were able to see some really beautiful sites we were able to shop around the port once our tour was over, I highly recommend booking this excursion. We were blessed with a beautiful tour guide on a clear and beautiful day and saw Mount Fuji throughout the day.

This was an amazing tour. I looked for a private tour when the excursions from the cruise looked rather lackluster and I am so glad I did as we would have missed these areas otherwise. A private car picked the four of us up at the port and drove us to the three locations. Our guide Hero was top rate. I did not know anything about the places in advance, he was very informative about the areas we visited: Lake Tanuki, Shirato & Otodome Falls, and Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine. We took some beautiful photos of the lake with Mt. Fuji in the background.
We decided we would like to get lunch at a local restaurant instead of returning to the ship and Hero helped arrange for a taxi to take us to the ship when we were done. All around a 5 star experience. Nothing the cruise line had to offer was even close to what we got to experience.
