This was the best tour we went on during our trip to Japan. Our guide, Shin Takeda, made it an incredibly personal experience and gave attention to each of the guests on the tour. He was funny, informative, had a never-ending bag of cookies for the deer… not enough adjectives to describe what a great host he was. I would recommend booking with him to everyone. His love for Nara is infectious and fun.

Our Nara walking tour was amazing. Our guide Shin Takeda was incredible. He provided interesting information as he guided us around Nara. Not only did we experience the fun bowing deer, but we saw multiple shrines and temples. I highly recommend this tour!

Matthew gave a great tour lot of fun walking around. Feeding the deer was once in a lifetime experience. The shrines and Lanterns were exquisite.

It was a great tour! Matthew was knowledgeable about the temples and shrines. There was an opportunity to feed the deer. Note: there is lots of walking, some uphill.

We had an amazing day with our super kind and friendly guide Nobu! She showed us the prettiest places in Nara! We had some delicious Mochi and she even brought biscuits to feed the cute deer! 🥰 All het stories were amazing. We also had a typical Japanese lunch which was very tasty. Thank you for a wonderful and cozy tour through Nara! Highly recommend! 💕🦌

Nara would not have been so charming without Shin!
He guided us through the main temples and shrines sharing historical insights that gave depth to our visit.
We enjoyed visiting local shops with him, including delicious little restaurants and a calligraphy master. We also had the best mochi ever and fed many friendly deers.
We recommend booking the tour with Shin if you are really curious about Nara's place in Japan's history.
