Chris is an excellent tour guide if you want to get the most out of a couple of hours around Almaty. He speaks great English and knows all the history to weave into the walkabout. Recommend dropping Chris a note if you are in town with 2 hours to spare and a curious mind.

Insightful tour for a non-ex-Soviet Union citizen like myself. I happened to be alone for the tour, and Chris took his time to answer the few that I had. Very fluent in English and knowledgeable of historic events that he connected to the current reality of Almaty.

CJ exudes warmth and knowledge as he takes you around his beautiful city. Having lived in the US for years, his English is impeccable. From culture and history to architecture, this tour covers everything you need to know. Thank you for such an enlightening experience, CJ!

It was my first time in Almaty and i am very happy that i decided to sign up for this tour. Our tour guid was very kind, funny and had a lot of cool stories and facts about the city!

it was a cool tour. I enjoyed the Almaty's city vibe and the tour itself. Chir is a funny and cool guy who made this tour enjoyable. I also needed help with Big Almaty Lake and Shymbulak itinerary and he made it happened just in few minutes. I am very appreciative of this hustle free experience. Cheers men

Took this Almaty Original Tour and really enjoyed what I saw. Our tour guide was very knowable, professional and suited all my needs. He toured us around historical center of Almaty and gave a true sight of Kazakh culture. Usually I prefer to navigate around new cities myself, but this time I am really happy that I decided to join Chris’ tour. Almaty is truly a beautiful city and especially it is a good place for those who already traveled all over the place
