very amazing night watch of frogs that are almost invisible other than the help provided by guide Jimmy. He is very helpful and keen on wildlife protection. We spotted a Sumatra snake thanks to his keen eyes.

Fabulous! Such a wonderful experience to wander a rainforest at night. Lucian was very knowledgeable and friendly and we saw lots of amazing frogs, insects, a yellow- banded cat snake and a civet. Highly recommended!

Lucien’s passion to share his knowledge about frogs and all things in the natural environment is infectious. We saw 9 different species of frogs, including a pregnant tree frog along with spiders, civet and other things staring back at us in the night. Highly recommended!

This tour by Lucian was very very good. He is very knowledgeable and patiently explaining to us about the animals and plants we saw along the way. The whole trip is very relaxed, we were able to fully experience the wonder that nature can offer.

This was such a brilliant, unique experience - I cannot recommend it highly enough. Lucian is a charming guide with an absolute passion for nature and, in particular, frogs! His level of knowledge is so impressive, as is his ability to see these tiny creatures in the jungle at night. I would honestly suggest prioritising this experience over almost anything else in Sarawak.

Lucjan picked us up from the hotel and took to the park, he answered all the questions with perfect English, knew al about the culture, frogs, orangutans, Sarawak, history. It was raining 3 times and didn’t bother us because of the frogs we saw. He written down all the species names and it was more than 50 frogs we saw. He even knew the sex and age of frogs, but was looking for insects, spiders, lizards and mammals also.
We saw the leopard cat!!!!! Seeing how happy he was you can truly see how much this hobby/job means for him

Very glad that we could introduce to you both to a new and exciting experience in Borneo especially the smallest frog found in Borneo, Microhyla nipenthicola (Matang Narrow-mouthed Frog).

What a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and interesting guide Lucian is, we learnt so much. His ability to spot tiny frogs in the dense forest was incredible! We saw over 12 different types of frogs and were given information about their behaviour and habitat. There was no rush, we were given time to marvel at Mother nature’s creations. It’s being immersed in nature, the sounds, smells and sights all heighten by the fact it’s dark. Lucian is clearly fascinated with the wildlife in the park and is keen to find as much as he can to share with you. It’s not only frogs that come out at night, insects, spiders, moths, bats we were even lucky enough to encounter Malaysia’s most poisonous snake! This was a very lucky sighting! If you do one trip in Sarawak, do this one, although the track up to the frog pool is rather steep, it is a concrete road so easier underfoot. A truly amazing experience, one that will remain with us for the rest of our lives.

It was a pleasure to share with you the wonders of the Borneon rainforest at night. The encounter with the Blue Malayan Coral Snake (Calliophis bivirgatus) was indeed the highlight of our night walk... and a very exciting one no less.
