We had a delightful time with Dilser at Chan Chan. Even though it was closed, he had made arrangements for us to gain admission and we had the entire place to ourselves. His English is excellent as is his passion for the history of this area. Very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had. Picked up at our hotel in very comfortable vehicle with excellent driver. Dilser is very accessible via text/phone on WhatsApp. Decided to book a tour with him the following afternoon to Huacas del Luna-Sol. Don't miss it. Very highly recommend Dilser and Norte Expedition.

Dilser Alfaro Oliva is the best tourguide I ever had! He‘s very experienced. His knowledge is huge. The way he tell about this old culture is very interesting. And he knows much more than this culture.
A pity that I didn‘t have more time to do another tour with him.

Dilser was an amazing guide and so kind and informative. He picked me up from my hotel and went above and beyond in proving a first class Priavte tour and these amazing archaeological sites. So glad I was able to have such a intimate guide without the hassles of a large tour group and buses.

Dilser was passionate and very knowledgeable about the Chan Chan society.
He is one of the only English speaking guide.
He provided us a great explanation of the Chan Chan Chan society and interesting explanations on this society.
We would definitely recommend him for a guide in Trujillo or the north of Peru.

So glad Dilser was my guide!
I had considered doing it without a guide and man I would have missed so much. He is a great conversationalist and provided all of the historical background info to truly understand what we were seeing.
The pace was just right. It never got slow and never got too fast.
If your Spanish is limited like mine, having Dilser as a skilled English-speaking guide will make all of the sites really come alive.
Looking forward to a return visit with my sons!

I noticed that you have an age level of 15-50. I am 76 and in good shape. Do you not recommend this tour for those over 50?

The tour is suitable for anyone who is physically active and able to walk over rough ground and varying elevations. There should be no age limitation attached to this. I travelled with many in my group who were over 75 but fit and all managed without difficulty.
