Touring the Longji Rice Terraces was the best thing we did in China. It was a beautiful day, the scenery was UN-REAL, and the meal in a local's house left us feeling like we were really a part of the culture. The tour guide (Jason) was EXCELLENT. He had the best English of anyone we met, and he was funny, knowledgable, and engaging. He even went above and beyond by helping us find a place to get our laundry done, which was surprisingly difficult. It's a bit of a drive to get there, but totally worth it. Can't recommend highly enough!

My 1st China trip and it is such a memorable trip as well. Booked 3 days tour with trippest and worth each penny spend. Super friendly tour guide Mr.Chasen bring me to all the attractions and though the weather is rainy most of the time here but we manage to complete all the activities without any issues. Thanks to him.
Not forgetting the pretty sweet girl Tracy Tang she helped me on the booking. It was very fast without any hassle. Thanks to her as well.

We had an amazing visit to the Longji Rice Terrances thanks to China Highlights and our tour guide Linda.
Linda spoke great English, she told us lots of interesting information, not just about our tour but about the Chinese culture in general. She was very professional and easygoing. She took tons of pictures for us (she's pretty much a professional photographer haha)
The tour itself was great, left our Hotel around 830 and arrived back around 530. We booked a mini group but it ended up just being my fiancé and myself. We did lots of walking, seen lots of great scenery and met lots of great people.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Chinese culture and great scenery.

I had a great tour of the rice terraces with my guide Gary. He was very respectful and accommodating of my needs through out the tour. He picked me up at my Yangshou hotel and then went out of the way to drop me off at the Guilin airport at the end of the tour. I highly recommend Gary and this tour for a wonderful visit to of the beautiful Rice Terraces.

I had the most delightful day with the 'Spectacular Sunny' as a guide. As I was travelling solo we spent the day in her own private car exploring the Guilin Longji Rice Terraces and visited the stunning Huangluo Yao Village to meet with the 'long hair ladies' to learn about the local traditions. The show they put on was amazing. The visit to the Guilin Longji Rice Terraces was mind blowing - such a vast landscape beautifully laid out fields with very easy walking trails through them. The actual village itself was quite steep and winding but the view at the top of the village was definitely worth it. I had such a good day with Sunny and enjoyed myself immensely that I'm pretty sure I fell asleep in her car on the way back to my hotel. 5 stars tour and service from Sunny

My fiance and I had the most splendid and wonderful 7 days tour in Guilin. Our private tour guide LeLe Wei was a very professional and delightful person. We were picked up form the guilin airport and dropped us off at the hotel. The tour car was very clean and comfortable.Throughout the 7 days tour, I enjoyed every moment of each day. The private tour is very flexible and adapts to our requests.The most amazing part for us was the Longji rice terrace. The walk through and the scenery was breathe taking. There are dresses to rent and dress up like the minority groups and take photos in the rice terraces. Comfortable shoes, sunscreen and a hat is a must. Also extra t-shirts and shorts should be brought due to the humidity in Summer. Yangshuo was also a relaxing place to spend for two days. The resort we stayed at was very authentic and dreamy. Bicycle riding, Bamboo rafting through the river is breathtakingly beautiful, with karst peaks, rice fields, clear waters, and green bamboo.
This was the longest tour we have ever been to. Each day was amazing for us. We enjoyed every minute of it.

My husband, teenage son and I had the best time in Guilin. We had a private tour with LeLe our guide to the Longi Rice Terraces, Li River cruise, Elephant hill and a special visit to an elderly couples farmhouse which was a truly special experience. The scenery is so different and beautiful, it really is like the pictures you see in guide books. The private tour is so flexible and we were able to totally adapt it to our requests. Our guide was so friendly and informative, he really went the extra mile helping, even as far as sorting out our phones with Chinese sims. Driver felt very safe, a big plus with the hazardous roads and the vehicle clean and comfortable. We always use China highlights who have arranged all our tours on this trip and past, very efficient and professional.
Both the rice terraces and River cruise have to be visited in Guilin. Comfy shoes for the rice terraces and hat! So interesting to watch the farmers working and to see how locals live in their community.

My family of 5 from 3 generations took a tour from Guilin to Yangshuo via Li River cruise. The weather was perfect, the scenery surreal, and there was no crowd. Henry, our guide was pleasant and friendly with both the old and young. Above all, Henry is most resourceful in handling emergency. During the trip, I ran out of prescription medication. Henry arranged an appointment at the local hospital where I was seen by a physician immediately. He even helped the physician to find the equivalent medication in Chinese formula. He worked hard to ensure a pleasant trip for all of us.
At our request, Henry arranged a Chinese brush painting class for our family. Learning Chinese brush painting was a very enriching experience. The younger members of our group also took a bike ride along the river bank. On the bamboo raft ride, we also witnessed fishing by cormorants.
We enjoyed our stay at the quaint hillside inn, Mountain Retreat where we dinned and relaxed by the river. It was the most memorable trip! Thank you Henry!

What a wonderful few days in Guillin and it's surrounding with our fantastic guide Chason. We visited the most beautiful cave I have ever seen. We climbed mount Fubo. We walked along the lakes. We had the long tour on the riverine the lakes at night, very impressive. People were playing music an singing . The next day, we went to the terrace of Longji. Our guide had good knowledge in botany. We loved the choice of food he suggested for us((loofah with garlic,bambou rice etc)
The trip on the river Li was breathtaking , again Chason was present to point out special scenery. The show at night in Yangzhou, it was a stunning performance. The last hotel on river Li in Yangzhou was so nice, we had a beautiful view.

William, our China Highlights guide for our private tour of Guilin, the Li River cruise, and the Longji Rice Terraces and Ethnic Minority Village, explained that this part of our trip to China was about natural beauty. As an outdoor person himself, he could help us understand what we were seeing. He knew where and when to take pictures of our family in front of the array of mountains that appears on Chinese paper money. He cheerfully explained that although the weather was rainy and foggy during the time we were there, the natural scenery was really more beautiful in those conditions. He found someone to fix my purse, whose strap was coming loose after being caught in a security scanner. He drove us up to the observation tower overlooking the Longji rice terraces, wisely knowing that I could never have climbed the thousands of steps needed to get there on my own. I was even unsure I could walk down the path to the village, but William encouraged me to do so, and I am very glad he did, because it was so delightful to walk next to the rice paddies and greet other people along the path who were similarly charmed. William recommended that we go to a play the night we were in Yangshuo, despite the misty weather, and we did. Unfortunately, it poured, and we got soaked! But William, apologizing profusely, kept bringing us plastic raincoats in a futile attempt to keep us dry. Returning to the hotel, he made a special herbal tea to keep us from getting sick. And while none of us would recommend seeing the performance in the rain unless protected by a roof, the production was incredible! It made spectacular use of the surrounding mountains and the rivers. I can understand why William urged us to see it. William stayed with us until late that night to make sure we were okay, thereby going way beyond duty.
