Charles helped plan our day from Guilin travelling to Longshen. It was a thoughtful itinerary to make sure that we have a great experience visiting Huang Lao Yao Village and to see the spectacular rice terraces in Ping’an Village.

Charles communicated with us before our trip via WhatsApp, ensuring all our needs were met, especially minimal walking for the three senior citizens in our group. Overall, I found Charles to be professional and reliable. Normally, we don’t have a habit of chartering a tour guide, but we had no regrets with this team! The pick-up was right from our hotel lobby, and after a full day of exploring, we were dropped off back at our hotel lobby as well, making it incredibly convenient. We were also provided with mineral water throughout the journey, which was a thoughtful touch.
We had Jenny as our English-speaking guide, along with a fantastic driver in a safe, clean SUV. While I’d requested English, Jenny’s ability to also speak Cantonese was a pleasant surprise. She took wonderful care of us, bringing knowledge, humor, and kindness to our trip. Even after our day tour ended, Jenny continued helping me with queries via WeChat. We highly recommend this tour company—special thanks to Jenny and Charles for making our experience so comfortable.
Trip Details: Our family of six chartered Charles’ services for a day trip from Guilin to Longji Rice Terraces and Yao Village. On the way, we stopped at Huangluo Yao Village and enjoyed a unique performance by the Hong Yao Minority tribe, known for their long, shiny black hair—a wonderful cultural insight! Jenny then took us to a village restaurant for delicious bamboo-cooked rice and chicken, a local specialty that was fantastic. Following my request to avoid hiking, we used an electric cart to reach the scenic areas at Ping An Rice Terrace. The views were spectacular, and Jenny shared interesting facts along our scenic walk. The tour extended a bit longer than planned, but we were kindly reassured to take our time.

My friend and I went to the Longji Rice terraces and Yao Village with Charles Guilin Tours. The rice fields was very scenic especially the Dragon and Nine Tigers terraces! Our guide Wang Pin was great and took us for a walk through the terraces and Zhuang Village! Watched the cultural Yao performance. Great experience with Charles Guilin Tours!

My friend and I visited the Longji Rice Terraces, Zhuang Village and Yao Village with Charles Guilin Tours. The views of the rice terraces were fantastic especially the view of Nine Dragons and Five Tigers! Our guide Wang Bin took us on a great walk through the rice terraces and Zhuang Village! We also visited the Yao Village and enjoyed a show performed by the Yao people themselves! Watch the women folks with their beautiful long long hair! A good cultural insight! Thank you Charles Guilin Tour for a great trip!

We visited the rice fields with Charles who guided us on an interesting walk through the small villages that dot the rice fields explaining some local traditions and the way of life of the Chinese. It is really hard to understand from abroad some things because of the language barrier and he was very helpful, infinitely kind and discreet. We really had a wonderful day.

The visit on the rice terraces has been excellently organized and taken care of in every detail by Charlie. He showed us beautiful places and taked picture of us at every point view. He also gave us excellent advice on restaurants and other points of interest in Guilin. If you come to Guilin, contact Charlie tour for a careful and reliable guide.

Goodmorning. We’re currently in Dazhai in a hotel and would love a private tour around the rice terrace etc. is it possible to do a special tour without the transfer etc. just pick up from hotel here in Dazhai to the cable car?
