Two families consisting of 4 adults and 3 children booked a half day tour with Lily's Private Tours and we could not have been happier with the service.
Wendy, our tour guide collected us at our hotel at midday after we flew in from Beijing. She offered us three options for lunch, upmarket with numerous courses, mid-market and street food. We chose the mid market option and it was delicious. There was something on the menu for every palette and we all enjoyed the experience very much.
After lunch Wendy took us to the Terracotta Warriors and we commenced the tour. Wendy was very knowledgable and read our group very well. We had three children aged 10-12 and she kept them engaged throughout the tour. Her knowledge of the warriors and indeed wider Chinese history was impressive as well as being very informative. After the tour Wendy brought us to visit a number of shops outside the museum to look for souveniers. Wendy was helpful without pushing us towards any particular vendor.
On the ride back into Xi'an after the tour Wendy gave a lot of the history of the city and gave us some great tips for visiting the Muslim Quarter and cycling on the city walls which we did that night and the following morning.
Thank you Wendy for a great and memorable trip.

Simply could not have been better! My guide Wendy was fabulous, knowledgable and completely flexible in her arrangements
I was supposed to fly in at 12:30 for a half day tour focussed on the Terracotta Warriors and biking the Xi'an City Wall. My flight was delayed 1.5 hours getting in at 2ish. Wendy monitored the flight arrival time so only came to the airport when I was arriving and then still provided a genuine half day (plus a bit). We took in the Warriors (great detailed knowledge), dropped gear at my hotel, visited the South Gate area of the Xi'an City Wall (decided to skip a full bike tour due to the time), went to a Chinese cultural dance show at the Shaanxi Grand Opera House and finished off by visiting the Drum Tower and eating street food in the Muslim Quarter. Wendy was knowledgable of all the attractions and once it was clear my original plans were not really going to work recommended a number of options, adjusted the scheduled and stayed late to ensure I had a great experience and got true value for money. I can't recommend Wendy and Lily's Private Tours highly enough!
