Ken took great photos, was efficient while transporting from place to place and was very knowledgeable. He also had great recommendations for other spots to go after the tour.

Highly recommend booking a guided tour, this one in particular, to anyone visiting Kyoto for the first time. Transportation can be tricky in Kyoto; we had to hop on multiple trains and buses to get to the different temples. It helps a lot to have someone who knows how to move around the city. Our guide was great and very friendly. We got to beat the crowds and cram a lot into one morning: Inari shrine, Kinkakuji, Arashiyama bamboo forest. The tour was informative, if anything a bit light on historical details, but still good enough for a first time tour of the city.
Lastly, we ended the tour in Arashiyama instead of being guided back to our original starting point of Kyoto Central Station. After eating, we visited the monkey park nearby, which I think was worth the visit.

Hisashi was a great guide! We were glad to visit some of Kyoto's most prominent tourist attractions before the crowds (and heat) became overwhelming. He helped us navigate the transit system and offered some helpful info about the places we were seeing. We'd recommend this tour to those looking to avoid the crowds.

We met Hisashi at Kyoto station the morning of our tour and he was waiting for us with our name on a sign, as expected.
He toured us around the 3 sites as advertised and gave us very good information. He also answered all our questions very well.
He’s a nice, knowledgeable and gentle person. We truly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend!

Our booked trip was cancelled with no reasoning . We booked the ahead , trip cancelled without notification or suggestions

We don't cancel any tour without reason. It can happen that we have to cancel because of extremely bad weather, but then we contact the tour participants, of course, and try to find an alternative.
We had cases before where the tour was cancelled automatically because of credit card trouble. Might this have happened in your case?

Excellent tour but be ready to walk! Thank goodness we started early. Saw the Inari shrine, the thousand torii, the golden temple, the bamboo forest and the beautiful river gorge! I would have never been able to pack this all into one AM with out the expertise of the amazing tour guide, Miho!! She was exceptional! And her historical knowledge of each location really enhanced the experience. This was our top tour while in Japan! Great bang for your buck!! But bring extra cash! Miho has you going to so many places that the metro fees and entrance fees add up.

There IS quite a lot of walking to do, hopefully you were not exhausted the next day.
An IC card helps when using the various modes of transportation, but the entrance fees unfortunately are usually cash only.

Everything went to as planned Hiro our guide excellent, great English, able to assess our needs and full of interesting facts without lecturing. Lots of walking so we took cab from Kinkaku-ji Temple to Bamboo Forest rather than bus and train well worth it about $30 Australian. Getting to Shinto Shrine early meant fantastic photos without the crowds of famous Red Tori gates. The shrine was awesome but somehow the Buddist temple managed to be even more beautiful with the reflective pool. Crowds building by time we got to Bamboo forest not to mention hundreds of Rickshaws. All in all highly recommend with extra stars for Hiro

Hi, for the Kyoto Early Bird Tour, how do we travel from one site to the next (example, from Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine to Kinkakuji Temple)? Does the tour fee cover the transportation between one point of interest to another?

You will be going by train, bus, and walking.
The fee doesn't include the cost of travel. You will need to put money on your card ahead of time to cover all the fee's associated with traveling.
