Our family (myself, my wife, and our 7-year-old son) had an absolutely wonderful walking tour of Osaka on March 19, 2025, and it was a highlight of our trip to Japan! We visited Osaka Castle, explored various markets, and experienced the vibrant atmosphere of Dotonbori.
Tim, our tour guide, was exceptional! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Osaka, and he presented it in a fun and engaging way that kept everyone interested, including our son. The tour was a great mix of historical landmarks and lively street scenes. Tim provided excellent shopping recommendations and pointed out fantastic photo opportunities.
The walking pace was comfortable, even for our 7-year-old, and the brief train rides between locations were a welcome break. We appreciated the variety of experiences, from the grandeur of Osaka Castle to the bustling energy of the markets and Dotonbori.
Our son loved the entire tour, which is a testament to Tim's ability to connect with people of all ages. We learned so much and created lasting memories.
We highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Osaka, especially families! If you're lucky enough to get Tim as your guide, you're in for a treat!

We didn't have a lot of time in Osaka so we wanted to make sure that we had a tour that gave us a good variety and hit the high points. This tour did that and our Guide Tim was great. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he loved history! He gave us enough cool stories that it made the history super interesting. We also feel like we got to hit a lot of the highlights of Osaka. Very well organized from beginning to end! This group really cares about your experience and it felt like they gave us a "locals" view!

The guide was very knowledgeable and gave a professional commentary.
Viator’s details of the so-called tour was ambiguous and vague with little detail of how navigate the Japanese train system.

Great guided tour through Osaka. Tim was a fabulous guide, full of knowledge and very helpful too. 👍👍👍👍👍/5. Oh yes very good at taking photos too !

An amazing day spent with Tim exploring Osaka, from the castle, hearing about the history, through parks and eye opening shopping areas, markets including fish market. A wonderful authentic lunch

Great tour. Reasonable price as well.
Scott was excellent. He had the day planned so well. The tour included soft drink and local lunch. Scott voice was very clear and he has great knowledge of Osaka.

Great walking tour, Scott is an excellent guide. He showed us the major sites of Osaka. It wasn’t rushed and explained the history of city. We didn’t feel rushed and there were lots of opportunities to take toilet breaks if we needed them. Loved lunch consisting of Octopus Balls. They were really yummy! Also got to sample Kobe Beef A5 at the local fish market

I was going back and forth as to booking a tour or wandering aimlessly on our own. We are both so happy that I booked this tour! I was initially dismayed that there were 8 of us in the group. However, our guide, Tim, had the perfect voice that projected so that we could easily hear him. He was a wealth of knowledge about Japanese history but more importantly, his delivery was wonderful. His sense of humor had us smiling and we were truly enthralled with his stories. The other people on the tour were very friendly so it ended up being the perfect way to spend a day in Osaka.

Tim. The Guide, is a brilliant character. He is very knowledgeable about the places and also very friendly too. The fact quite many locals embraced him so warmly wasa good sign. The tour itself involved a great little adventure across Osaka including 2 little trains along with the walking / talking guide across the areas. Would highly recommend this.
