TIP BEFORE YOU BOOK:
It is cheaper to buy your own sky cable ticket when you are there instead of including it in your tour expenses. It was only 10 RM for a one way ticket, and 18 RM for a two way ticket.
This also applies to theme park tickets (both indoors and outdoors). I think it was around 170 RM only for the outdoors one. We LOVED it.
So get the cheapest tour ticket that will get you to Genting Highlands then purchase your own tickets there.
We unfortunately did not have a guide so we ended up doing our own research with the temples, but it was okay nonetheless! Also, the driver was really nice and polite so it did not feel like a completely bad thing.
It’s not a very far drive from Kuala Lumpur and it was very relaxing.

Punctual and decent driver but there was no guide. We had to google what we were looking at. The vehicle was comfortable and the drive itself was nice.
Genting heights was so beautiful. The chin swee temple so lovely, and so was the outdoors theme park.

The tour guide named Shelly was not up to the mark. She was talking n walking too fast , not had enough knowledge of the place and surroundings. Behaviour was not acceptable. We are not happy.

Lots of great things to do. Spending a couple of day and you still could not see or do everything. Indoor Park rides start at 2PM. Outdoor Park has one entry fee all rides are free. Chinese Temple could spend a half to full day to see everything.

Our driver was fine, but I would advise anyone over about 50 to avoid Genting like the plague! It was certainly not our cup of tea.
The gondola trip was good, but the technology required to get the tickets onto our phone was beyond us, resulting in our driver having to purchase other tickets. I trust he will be reimbursed by the company for this.
On arrival at the top, the sheer noise and confusion put us right off. And it was impossible to find somewhere to sit down with a decent cup of coffee. We took the gondola back down pretty quickly.
The outlet mall was OK, but underwhelming.
Altogether a waste of a day, but I would emphasise again that we had no issues with Rajan, our driver.

This trip covers Batu cave and Gentîng highlands in a day. Pickup and drop from hotel makes it easier for the tourist.

The views from up of Genting highlands was amazing and the place is ideal for taking photos, the weather is cooler than downtown in the city because of the nature of it’s location. we had a day tour that included a cable car ride that dropped us to a mall in Genting then to the temple afterwards.

Arrived to Awana skyway cable by grab, we took the skyway, the scenery was great during ascension, a little cloudy on the top.On the top you can enjoy shopping(mall), gambling(casinos) or having fun(attractions parc)

We enjoyed Batu caves and Sky rides as well. The Cable car riding was amazing for my kids. Really a good weather which could helped to observe the areal view of the Genting. But still certain fun making activities are under construction and the charges for each games in the play area is affordable.

Read a couple of reviews where people had bad experiences of queuing for the Cable Car etc, and yes, we did have to wait about twenty minutes, but the staff work really hard to keep everything moving in an orderly fashion. Maybe we were just lucky the day we visited (Sunday, 5th of January)
We had a fabulous day!
Will definitely visit again when we next visit Kuala Lumpur.

I reached Batu caves on my own by taxi, spent some time there, then took another taxi to reach Genting Highlands. Both are in the same direction away from KL and it is advisable to visit both places in the same trip. If you hiring a sharing tour to Genting Highlands, thenthey may stop to Batu Caves for some time - Need to check with your tour organiser. I did not use any tour organiser. Went on my own by Taxi on the same day. Hope this is helpful.

I’m sorry, I don’t know as we didn’t visit Strawberry farm. We just done the Genting Highlands and Batu Caves on their own.
The Batu caves were very interesting, so don’t miss it.

You can spend enough time there, no restrictions, but it is always advisable to come back before the sunset. Reaching there early hours is a nice experience.
