Ari is the only guide you need for Southern Albania - he is the most thoughtful, interesting, helpful and practical guide possible. Nothing was too much trouble as he effortlessly guided me through the complicated but fascinating history of his country, answering questions patiently and in a most captivating manner. He also expertly guided his trusty Nissan through the challenging streets of Gjirokaster!
I would not hesitate to recommend this tour, particularly as Ari has such a passion for his job. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

My family and I did a tour to Blue Eye, Gjirokaster and Lekursi Castle.
All these places are must see.
Our guide Valentina was very professional, talkative and very knowledgeable.
We adored her passion and her love for her country.
We would highly suggest this tour with Valentina.

We actually did a 3-day tour of Albania with Ari of A Tour to Remember. If you want a supremely knowledgeable, kind, fun, safe guide to share his deep love for his country with you, Ari is your tour guide. We were 2 couples, MDs and Ph.D.s all, and there wasn’t a question we asked that Ari couldn’t answer or a subject on which we engaged, from Dia Lipa, to Enver Hoxha-era bunker technology, to world religions, to Albanian pandemic-era vaccine perspectives and public health (and many more) which Ari didn’t lead the charge. He showed us breathtaking scenery and shared fascinating history and local customs during our time together. He was the perfect ambassador for Albania. Please feel free to message me if you have questions. I so very highly recommend booking with Ari!

10/10 recommend. We had limited time in the Saranda region and wanted to focus our tour in just the blue eye and Gjirokastra - Ari was able to customize a trip that fit our needs. Both locations were incredible - a must see. He is extremely personable and very easy to talk with. We enjoyed learning about the places we were visiting and Albania as a whole with him as he is very knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend booking with him enough!

This to our in Albania was the best day of our holidays there.
Gjirokaster city was a highlight of all places and the I loved the Albanian food.
Our guide was very professional, careful and friendly too.
When you go to Albania I suggest you to try this tour as you save a lot of time and but you visit the best of south Albania.

My friend and I went to Tirana for the weekend, and we’re glad that we booked this full day tour with Ari. HE IS LITERALLY THE BEST GUIDE EVER!! He picked us up at the airport and started the tour right away. While on our way to Gjirokastër, he started telling us about the history of Albania and its people, which made the tour more interesting. He made sure that we were comfortable and our tummies full during the trip. He bought us snacks, water, and provided our lunch at a local restaurant and, I swear, it was one of the BEST MEALS I ever had! I can’t recommend Ari enough. He is nice, funny, and easy to get along with.

We are amazed of how beautiful Albania is.
After doing a paddle tour with Ari in Ksamil, we suggested us to visit Gjirokaster city and The Blue Eye natural Park.
We were so happy with the paddle tour so we decided to do another tour with him.
Gjirokaster is absolutely a MUST DO. Also, The Blue Eye is really a highlight of South of Albania.
The traditional food is lovely.
Ari tought us a lot about albanian history and culture.
He is very knowledgeable guy and so friendly.
We had a wonderful time in Albania and all of this, thanks to Ari.

This was literally the best way to experience the sites in Albania! Ari and Valentina are the best tour guides and truly felt like friends by the end of the day. They surprised us with a cake a lunch for our anniversary which was just so sweet! Every stop was beautiful and if I could I would give it 20 out of 10 stars. If you read this make sure to ask for the "Alison Experience" I promise you won't be disappointed and will definitely get a couple laughs! 😉

Our group of senior ladies thoroughly enjoyed our private tour from Sarande with A Tour To Remember Albania [privatetoursalbania@gmail.com] O I knew nothing about Albania when planning it, but it was wonderful from the ancient ruins, excellent, personable tour guide and even the weather. Highly recommend!

Ari is an excellent local guides . He has a comprehensive profound knowledge of Albania and is also an excellent chauffeur. With his lovable manner, he made my Birthday in Albania during our Silverseas Cruise a wonderful experience for my wife and me. If we ever end up in Albania again, my first stop is Ari. Thanks very much!
