收获很大的旅程，学习很多
这是里约最大的贫民窟Rocinha，我在约定地点和导游碰面，一起坐上小巴士上山（为了安全不建议摩托车，这点他们相当贴心）。到了Rocinha以后，整趟旅程都是走路约150分钟，请穿一双好鞋，我很惊讶在不知不觉间Edson带大家从山上走到了平地。所见所闻都太震撼了，额外付R$2到一户住家屋顶看整体景观非常值得。非常推荐这个团，导游的英文很清楚也很热忱提供故事和解答，这是令人难忘的旅程!

待ち合わせ場所に行けば、ガイドの人が声をかけてくれます。安心してください。
案内人は、英語、ポルトガル語、スペイン語で話します。
私の時のグループは10人前後で、国籍は多種多様でした。
【以下感想です】
案内される方は、実際にファベーラで暮らしていて、ファベーラの歴史意外にも、現状の問題点やブラジルの行政についてなど。リアルなファベーラを伝えてくれます。
合わせて、私が訪れたのが祝日ということもあり、子供たちが音楽に合わせたダンスを見せてくれました。
日本では（私が日本で生まれ育ったので敢えて限定します）信じられないような生活環境ですが、その中で屈託のない笑顔を見せるファベーラの住人を垣間見て、本当の幸せとは何か。考えさせる素晴らしい体験でした。

We had the most incredible tour of the favelas thanks to our amazing tour guide Daniel. Daniel was passionate and knowledgeable, and made the trip both fun and educational. We felt safe the whole time and have come away with an entirely different outlook of the favelas. Could not recommend this tour enough for those wanting a different perspective of Rio, a truly once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Daniel!!

I feel embarrassed seeing reviews complaining about not seeing enough poverty or going into people's homes, as that certainly wasn't our intention when booking. I had long been fascinated by the huge communities built up in the hills, and it was just that nosiness that led us to look around. I'd read travel guidance saying that favela tours aren't safe, but this was honestly the first time I've walked around Rio with my phone in my hand. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, but at the same time, it was much like any other neighbourhood - we didn't expect a red carpet rolling out for us: this is people's real lives. Carlos was absolutely brilliant, and his language skills are incredible (I initially thought he must have been raised bilingual): the fact that in our countries a man can become a millionaire from putting on a suit and spouting ignorance whilst such genuine intelligence goes unrewarded is everything that is wrong with the world. Here's hoping for that brighter future for the wonderful people we met.

Very interesting trip with a lot of historical information.
Alberto our guide did a great job showing us the life in de Favela.
If you are in Rio you should see how the people in the favelas live. We felt safe the whole trip.
Would definitely recommend!

It’s a very interesting look into a world we don’t get to see everyday. The guide was a local which was very cool but I will say the trip isn't a historical tour it’s mostly just a walk through town while random things are pointed out BUT it’s definitely worth doing. We learned also about the lore of the town and the reason that they exist but that’s as much history as you will have for the tour.

Hi, when you click on check availability, you get multiple choices ( Spanish, Portuguese, English). Check the available hours for the English one and you will get an English speaking tour guide . I hope this helps.

buenos días, estaría interasada en hacer un tour a través de Rocinha con su guía local. No obstante, me gustaría saber acerca del itinerario que se haría en la favela de manera detallada antes de contratar su servicio: que vamos a hacer en el morro, de que va a hablar el guía etc.

Is it possible to start the tour from Ipanema beach instead of the start point?
Does the part of the tour before Ipenema includes important / historical information or is it just transport?

You can be picked up from your hotel if you choose that option. The guide was very good but all the historical information was about the favela not the rest of Rio. I can recommend it though, we found it a very interesting ‘other’ face of Rio.

From getting dropped off at the top of the favela to walking to the end its about 2.5 hours of so. Obviously extra time is for pick ups and drop off son the way to and from Copacabana / Ipanema.
