We had an amazing day learning about Guayaquil. Our tour started with a prompt pickup at our hotel and we were whisked away to the Historical Park where we saw lots of birds and animals that were rescued and being prepared to return to the wild. Our guides were very knowledgeable about all the species we saw. We were then given the choice of going to the chocolate museum or getting a more hands on experience. We opted for hands on and were taken to Yamil’s home where we learned the process of making chocolate from tree to table. We helped make ceviche and had lunch at the kitchen table followed by lots of delicious chocolate and desert. We then needed to burn off our meal with a walk through the historic district. It was a truly wonderful experience.

Felt like a day with friends, not a tour. Yamil and Simon guided us through Ecuadorian history and current events, coffee and cacao, the historic district, up to the lighthouse, topped off with a visit to Yamil’s house for homemade ceviche.

I went a half day tour with local guide Yamil. Yamil Is an amazing guide, he knows everything about this city, history, culture and wildlife.
During our tour, we visited fascinating places such as Las Peñas, Puerto Santa, the Coffee and Cacao Museum, Panama Street, San Pedro Cathedral, Iguana Park, and the Artisan Market. I got a whole cocoa fruit!
Guayaquil Is very very different from what I saw on the news. At the beginning I was little bit scared. After the day tour, I totally changed my mind. The city is very safe, local people are having happy life. Also The rich of biodiversity surprised me. Hopefully next time i could have more time here to visit the dry forest to see monkeys!
The chocolate here is tasty, Also the coffee. I love the iguana park, iguana are even not afraid of people. Many wild birds on the street, and the river is very beautiful.
Really really thanks for my guide Yamil, highly recommend! I would love to have Yamil to be my guide again next time I visit here.
I will definitely come back to this lovely city!

We had a great time and felt very safe and welcome. This tour is a great option if you have limited time. Yamil and Simon were a great team and were accommodating to our schedule

Ecuador ama la vida y yo amo Guayaquil. Esta ciudad fue el lugar de reencuentro entre un padre y su hija que hacía 8 años no se veían. Una ciudad maravillosa que de la mano de un guía tan excelente como Yamil ha hecho que este viaje quede en nuestra memoria y corazón. Desde el minuto uno recibimos un trato muy especial, Yamil nos recogió en la puerta del hotel, visitamos el parque de las Iguanas, fuimos a Las Salinas, al Parque Histórico, a una casa donde hacían unas artesanías preciosas, paseamos por el Río Guayas y nos invitó a comer en su hostal junto a su familia. Me llevo de esta experiencia muy buenos amigos y el recuerdo de un viaje hermoso lleno de cultura y naturaleza maravillosa.

Excellent private tour.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgable and gave us a fantastic last day of 2021 in Guayagil!
We learnt about history, art, culture, food and much more.
We are well traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy with our tour guide Yamil - he was great. Time and money well invested.

Yamil y Jimmy nos hicieron sentir como parte de su familia. Desde el inicio y mucho antes del Tour, Yamil nos contactó para brindarnos diversas opciones y ver cuáles eran nuestras prioridades eso me encantó. Basado en lo que le pedimos nos llevó a conocer distintas partes de Guayaquil, todo amarrado de una interesante historia. Nos sentamos a tomar café, fuimos al Museo del Café, a Piedras lo cual quedé maravillada y salí hasta con cuadro 😊. Tuvé la maravillosa experiencia de conocer mucho más del cacao y lo mejor fue que nos invitó a su hostal a preparar nuestro propio cacao y nos hizo sentir como parte de su familia con un delicioso seco de pollo, a probar vino de moras etc etc etc.
Yamil y Jimmy no solamente fueron excelentes guías, fueron fotógrafos, asesores de moda, sostenedores de cartera.
No duden en tomar este tour, la van a pasar maravilloso y te vas con la sensación de que no tomaste un tour, te sientes como si ya tuvieras amigos en Guayaquil ☺️
Ellos tienen un Hostal cercano en el Aeropuerto en caso de que estes buscando donde quedarte en Guayaquil.
Yamil y Jimmy no solamente fueron excelentes guías, fueron fotógrafos, asesores de moda, sostenedores de cartera.

This trip was amazing!!! They took us to the botanical garden, down town, coffee museum and new cacao museum. We also enjoyed a nice lunch after in the hostel. The guides were really great! They had a lot of knowledge and we’re very kind. They speak good English. We would definitely recommend this tour!
