Got this as an upsell on a mt batur hike booking, don’t bother with that either. Both are just tourist traps. The spa was filthy, as the other review said tiny clothes hooks 7ft up, no shower for before or after, the water in the pools looked completely filthy and i couldn’t even wash it off till i got back to my hotel in Ubud. Actually forget ubud all together, monkey is stinking and over rated as well, a guy got bit by a monkey while we watched. Theres rubbish everywhere and it was overcrowded even after covid with not many tourists. I only hope the last couple days we have at the gili islands might be better.

The pools were beautifully designed and laid out. Not crowded. But my husband went precovid and said they were. The staff are very friendly but I will never understand how at one booth you buy tickets then walk 150 m and give said tickets to another person? In entry cost a free drink and use of towel and locker is provided. A few nice ladies walk around and offer you a sample of a massage in the spa and then the cost to have one. They are upfront about this. Which I respected. My main issues were that the place is only designed for able bodied people. There are a lot of steps and they can be slippery. Getting in and out of the pools was difficult if you are not fit and able. Only one pool had a rail. So if you are not so sprightly, I would give this place a miss. The change rooms were disgusting. Slippery with high steps, the showers just leaked out of random spots and the hooks for towels were 7 feet in the air. I know some of this is part of the charm of Bali but this mess is very off putting. I'm expecting some foot disease when I get home and I had on thongs. Overall if you a fit and don't care about steep steps ect then go and enjoy.

We did not like this place - way too ‘kitsch’, and don’t go on the ‘water boom’ if you want avoid injuries

Hi, we are driving ourselves to the Batur Natural Hot Spring. We cannot be there at 8:00 am. Can we walk in at a later time in the afternoon? What is the opening hours of the Natural Hot Spring? Is booking a must?
