A few notable highlights from our trip:
The Badagry Tour was very informative, we got to see Slave Barracoons, the chains that were used back in the day to hold slaves. We went to the point of no return, and saw first hand the treatment of our fore fathers.
We also went to some mind blowing locations, the kind of places you read about in books! From Ile Ife and Olumo Rock, to the palace of the Ooni of Ife, to the Oranmiyan staff, and seeing all the priests clad in white, this was definitely worth visiting.
Hotels: Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been to Hotels in Virgina, honestly I wasn’t expecting this but the hotel we stayed at could easily pass for a 4 star hotel out here.
From the pick up at the Airport, the ride to our hotel, and the welcome dinner at Sheraton Hotel (I low key didn’t know there was such amazing food), plus they had live music! The independence festivities were so much fun. The best part was the yacht adventure, followed by an awesome night at Quilox Night Club! I don’t think we could list all the attractions. You have to take this trip!
