Could not have been better: very good communication prior to the trip, very good organization and very professional, friendly and considerate team on our trip (guide Darwin, chef de cuisine Merlin with star rated mountain cooking and donkey man Solio). The camping material is high quality. The donkeys and horses are well kept and well fed. We had to adapt the trek for medical reasons, good flexible solutions were found.

I completed an 8-day Huayhuash trek with Darwin and Persi in September 2024. Darwin is an experienced guide who closely monitors the trekkers and adjusts the pace accordingly. He's also a good cook—the meals were different every day, with dinner always starting with soup, and lunch served either on the trail or in camp. One important detail, which is often hard to find on operators' websites, is how much baggage the donkeys can carry. Andean Raju allows for 10 kilos, so you only need to carry a daypack with an extra jacket and water. Be sure to ask about this before booking! A pleasant surprise was the shower tent, where you could enjoy a bucket of hot water. There were no limits on drinking water, with plenty of boiled water always available for your tent or hiking day. A private tent is also offered for a reasonable fee.

Andean Raju is a well trusted and
an amazing tour provider. I definetely recommend them as they were so accountable, professional and lovely during the challenging Huayhuash 10 day circuit. Special thanks to Darwin, Madwin, Caselli and a fourth guy that i forgot the name. You were amazing and enlighted our experience.

The 8-day mountain trek with Andean Raju was absolutely unforgettable! Starting with Pablo, who organized our trip, we felt well prepared for the trip. He met us at our hotel in Huaraz to answer questions before we left. Our guide Leo, chef Ciro, and donkey driver Percy made the experience exceptional—they went above and beyond in every way, especially compared to other groups we saw along the trail. Our guide Leo always offered optional routes to stunning overlooks, making each day unique. He taught us so much about Peruvian culture, vegetation on the trail, and environmental change. The chef accommodated my dietary restrictions (gluten free and vegetarian) with good food, and the donkey driver ensured everything ran smoothly/our stuff was well taken care of. Andean Raju’s attention to detail made the trip a true adventure. Worth every penny. Highly recommend Andean Raju for anyone looking to experience the most beautiful mountain range.
Tip - it is very cold at night so pack a warm sleeping bag (recommend 0deg F bag) and many layers.

Due to its comprehensive offer and excellent communication in connection therewith we chose Andean Raju for organization of our 8-day Huayhuash Circuit trek. No regrets! Everything was perfectly organized by Pablo, the owner of Andean Raju. Pablo replies to each and every question you may have (regardless how ignorant such questions are) within short time, gives valuable advice and even stored our surplus luggage during our days in the mountains.
Pablo assigned an excellent english speaking guide (Ricardo) who took very good care of us when needed and gave us sufficient leeway when appropriate. Ricardo knows everything about the Huayhush mountains and happily shared his knowledge. Abundant meals were prepared by Juvenal (whose constant good mood was infectious, even if communication was only possible in Spanish), always in more than sufficient quantity, with impeccable quality and considering each participant's individual dietary preferences and requirements.
In summary: Thank you Pablo (and Ricardo and Juvenal) for having been our partners for this unforgettable trip.
Anyone with a desire to experience a comparable lifetime journey: look no further - go with Andean Raju!

Did the 8 day with Andean Raju Expeditions and it was incredible. Loved the circuit, our guide Darwin brought us to some unique viewpoints, our cook Merlin was simply amazing (the food was to die for), and our donkey driver Leo always got us the best spots at campsites. Overall: amazing experience.

I returned from Huayhuash a few days ago and my soul is still fluttering in its snowy peaks, its turquoise lagoons, its abundant and generous rivers. Just as our steps slowly took us to its 5,000-odd meters, so will my soul descend, reveling in so much beauty. The service is very good, the guides, cooks, muleteers, a whole team that makes the trip a success. Thank you Andean Raju!!!

El trekking de 10 días a Huayhuash ha sido la experiencia más maravillosa de mi vida, conectándome plenamente con la naturaleza. Recomiendo 100% realizar este increíble trekking con Andean Raju Expeditions. Quiero destacar especialmente la calidad de la comida, la energía positiva y la amplia experiencia de los guías, que siempre estuvieron al tanto de cada una de las 10 personas que hicimos el trekking. Personalmente, los primeros dos días fueron muy desafiantes debido a la altitud, pero los guías siempre estuvieron a mi lado, aconsejándome y sabiendo cuándo era necesario descansar y tomar un respiro para no exigirme demasiado. Durante el viaje, también descubrí que tengo miedo a las alturas y sufrí un ataque de pánico al descender uno de los pasos , sin embargo, los guías actuaron rápidamente y lograron tranquilizarme y ayudarme a completar el descenso. Este trekking es una experiencia maravillosa para conectarse con la naturaleza, descubrir nuevas cosas sobre uno mismo y conocer a personas asombrosas en las montañas. El equipo completo de Andean Raju Expeditions es excepcional. Creo que es crucial sentirse segura y cómoda con las personas con las que compartes tantos días en un trekking, y eso es exactamente lo que experimenté con todo el equipo: guías, cocineros y arrieros, todos ellos personas muy experimentadas y con una energía positiva que inspira confianza y tranquilidad durante todo el viaje. Absolutely unforgettable experience, and Andrean Raju provided everything I needed. Pablo was super quick with all my questions. I felt at ease going into this challenge. Half the group was young, solo travelers like me- was super cool to connect with them and make new friends! The team was amazing during the trek, and everything went extremely smoothly. Darwin the lead guide paid attention to everyone intently, and in the end we were all able to finish the whole trek as a group. Andean Raju and their team provided everything to make my experience comfortable and memorable. 100% recommend!

The itinerary, please. It's not listed in your Trip advisor page. Others offer 2 days of hiking and staying in a hotel before the 8 day trip. Thus making it 10 total. Thank you.
