Myself and my family took the Old Delhi Food tour with Pradeep and Badal last week and had such an amazing time. The old city of Delhi is such a chaotically beautiful place which felt like an entirely different world. Over several hours we spent time slowly moving through the city taking in the sights including a gorgeous sunset and the amazing spice market. The guides were extremely attentive to our needs, making sure we weren't too hot, hungry or tired constantly. The food we got to try on this tour was delicious, and tailored to our group with one vegetarian and personal preferences. I could not recommend enough this experience and will do it again every time I visit Delhi again.

Me and my 5 friends did this food tour this Sunday evening and we had a wonderful time! Pradeep and Salman accompanied us from the metro on Connaught Place to Chandni Chowk where we got rickshaws through the streets of Old Delhi. All the food, metro tickets, and rickshaws were included in the price and they provided hand sanitizer and wipes for us to use.
Pradeep and Salman were fantastic and friendly guides and all the food was delicious! We particularly liked the Chole Bature and the fried chicken. We felt safe knowing that they were taking us to places with better hygiene standards and that they were looking out for us in the crowds of people as we walked around.
Overall we had loads of fun and have recommended it to our other friends in Delhi who are staying for a few more days.

Private tour of the old Delhi. Great food and guide. Would never have found our way to these great food places without our guide. Some of the best food we tasted in India.

The guide Salman was very friendly, informative and professional. He ensured that we got off to a great start with our holiday to India. Helped with understanding and trying the local foods and even using the metro. No complaints, happy with the food tour thank you.

My husband and I could not recommend this company more! Delhi by locals was recommended by my older brother as he had visited India a few years prior. It was the best recommendation we got about the entire trip.
For anyone unaware the owner, Pradeep, built the company after we was able to rise out of his economic standing from a US scholarship he had received and his ultimate goal has been to lift others our of the slums by teaching them English and providing tourism job opportunities. This provides such a unique and special experience when touring Delhi. We learned so much from our guide Salman who grew up in the area. Beyond the food and cuisines, we learned about the historical influence, infrastructure, culture, religions, people and cast system, and contemporary views.
Pradeep and Salman have hearts of gold and were the most lovely people. Beyond planning an exceptional tour for us (mind you it was intended to be 4 hours and they were extremely generous with their time and we spent 7 hours exploring and learnings from them!). Not only did they have a lasting impact on us from Delhi, but wanted to help us with the remainder of our time in India. I will fully admit that we were a bit naive in some of our planning and did not realize how crucial having planned tours and transportation plans ahead are when visiting India (we thought we could just book a train from one city to another or explore popular monuments on our own).
LUCKILY we had establishes a great relationship with Pradeep after our Old Delhi tour and he came to the rescue planning our time in Jaipur with a freelance guide, booking us transportation from city to city, and even picked us up from the airport HIMSELF when we arrived back to Delhi with way too much time before our flights home to the states. In our last few hours in India we had the immense pleasure of visiting Pradeeps NGO, Learning by Locals, getting to see the Learning Center he has established for kids in the slums to learn English, computer skills, and much more, and spend time with the kids themselves.
Our time with Delhi by Locals will never be forgotten. While it may sound cheesy, it really was a life changing experience!

We were a little hesitant to go on the evening food tour. Like other tourists, we had heard to be very cautious eating Delhi street food. However, our hesitation was completely unfounded!
Predeep gave us a brilliant, comfortable evening. He was super knowledgeable, took us around all the key sites, handled all transportation and discussion with the locals. We tried some amazing food and had a brilliant time. He also took us to a cool ‘secret spot’.
Definitely would recommend and would also use him for other tours as well.

This is just an assumption, but my understanding is that they only run the tours when customers want them, so doing a tour just for one person may not be worth their while (unless you potentially pay a group price). I didn’t book out tour, but we did it as a group of 8 so assume we split the cost.
