We had a great experience exploring the Elephanta caves. It is a beautiful place surrounded of history. We learnt a lot from our tourist guide Rajat, he was very knowledgeable and was happy to explain in detail about each monument in the cave and to take amazing pictures. We explored the 4 caves. The island is also beautiful, there are plenty of cute monkeys. Will definitely recommend this tour. Make sure to stay hydrated. Rajat also provided water bottles. They arranged our pickup and our driver Vijay was very kind and described a few places as we passed by. This was a great experience!

Nikhil hat diesen Besuch zu einem großartigen Erlebnis gemacht. Sein Englisch ist sehr gut und klar, außerdem weiß er alles über die Elephanta Höhlen, die Geschichte und kann jedes Bild erklären. Toll, einfach empfehlenswert.

This proved to be a beautiful day. A boat ride over to the island and our guide showed us around. He took great care of us as we had gray hair. Extra water was also given. Thanks

Wow, a beautiful temple, that was worth the short climb up the hill. Sam was a very considerate guide, with special photography skills.

I visited Elephanta caves with some friends, the place is wonderful, our guide, Sam, took perfectly care of us and he is a wonderful photographer too.

Sam is an excellent guide. He speaks English fluently and clearly. His explanations are perfect. He took funny and nice pictures of our group. He play his role perfectly.

The tour was amazing! Rajat is a great guide and very educational. He really explained all the particularities of the temple in detail, showing us all the amazing examples of how thoughtful the design of the temple was and on top of it all he knows all the best photo spots!

Is it possible to book for an afternoon trip on the same day? If so, how do I book for today?

It is better to book the trip in the morning as in the afternoon will be very hot and super crowded. If you don't mind the heat then you can also go in the afternoon, last boat to the island will be around 4-4.30, but best to check the daily schedule as in some cases schedule might change because of weekend or public holidays.
