Our guide Tony was fantastic. We had rain on and off but Tony still made this a great experience for all of us. Lunch at the Rodriguez family restaurant was simply great, especially if you enjoy birdwatching while dining.

Isaac was our guide and his enthusiasm and knowledge for the flora and fauna was infectious and informative. Both the waterfall and the hike have numerous stairs but you are able to take your time. Lunch was fabulous! We saw a large tour being herded by surly guides and we were thankful we chose a smaller tour with this operator. Our driver Johan was excellent and anticipated our needs and was quick to make sure we had water and a bamboo walking stick. Very professional, fun, supportive and entertaining.

This tour was absolutely outstanding. My wife and I attended this tour with another couple who are our friends. We all share the same opinion. The waterfall visit came first followed.by an excellent traditional Costa Rican lunch provided by the tour company. After the lunch we visited the Aranal volcano for a second outstanding tour. Edgar Rodriguez (owner) and Francisco Brenes (tour guide) provided not only an interesting tour but a very informative one as well. We can’t recommend both these gentlemen and this company enough. If you’re interested in a high quality tour by competent and friendly people, you can’t go wrong with this company. Most highly recommended!

Do yourself a favor and book your experience with this group RIGHT NOW! We were on our honeymoon when we decided to do the volcano and waterfall experience with this group, and it truly was the highlight of our trip. Not only do they set you up with one of their employees for an incredibly educational and fun hiking/waterfall experience where you learn all you want to learn about Costa Rica, culture, nature, wildlife, etc. (truly their knowledge blew me away), but after your adventure you get to go back to their home base where the family (yes the company is run by a real family!!) has a home-cooked traditional Costa Rican meal for you! It was absolutely amazing... I wish I could have that meal over and over again. If this isn't good enough, the family went and got a cake for my husband and I since they heard it was our honeymoon. Talk about going the extra mile. These people are amazing and you have to book with them!

The guides were so friendly and information given was amazing! I really enjoyed all of the knowledge on the animals and types of formations around the volcano. The crew even brought my shoes to my hotel the day after I forgot them on the bus! Hospitality was top notch.

Isaac is the best tour guide! Incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly and funny! We went with my mother in law, who has some mobility issues. He was super understanding and very accommodating. His knowledge of the history, geology, and local plants and wildlife was truly impressive.

I will be a lone traveler and I have chosen your tour. It appears that you won't accept a single person - it must be a group of 2 or more... Is this true?

Hi. Interested in doing this Dec 30, 2018. 5 persons (2 adults with 3 adult children.) Saw the note about leaving at 10:30. Would like to do this if it doesn't effect seeing certain animals. How long is the hike too, please.
