Had an amazing time. Our tour guide Mauricio was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and ensured that we had a memorable time. He and the driver (Johan) both went out their way to ensure that we saw as many sloths as we could. We even saw one in a tree in somebody's back yard. That was so cool that the people that lived there gave us permission to enter their yard. The people of Costa Rica are so down to earth. Overall a great experience.

This was the best day of our trip to Costa Rica. Our guide Marvin had perfect English, he knew everything about everything, and was enthusiastic the whole time, a perfect professional. He was the best guide we had throughout our entire trip by far. The transportation being included was so helpful and our driver Jaime was the best. We had to change and rebook multiple times and Yulianna always answered promptly and was very nice. The food that was included was so good. Very fresh, classic Costa Rican food that we all loved. The private kitchen they have for their tours was so nice. We were afraid we annoyed her too much and she was the sweetest when we met her in person. The Arenal Hike was stunning, the hanging bridges were beautiful, and the waterfall and hot springs were great as well. Definitely worth the price. I would recommend everyone to specifically ask for Marvin. He was the best wildlife photographer we saw the whole trip.

We’ve just had two amazing days trekking with Mario, of Rainforest Explorers. Mario is knowledgeable, professional and kind. We gained fascinating facts about the flora, fauna and seismic activity in the area - and had a lot of fun into the bargain. We ended the second half day with a delicious lunch at their ranchero. We highly recommend booking a tour with this company. You will be looked after well.

This was a spectacular trip! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and his ability to spot even the tiniest creatures (tarantulas hiding in holes, tiny red frogs, lizards and the most fabulous array of birds) was spellbinding. The walk was not challenging, and the flora throughout the park is gorgeous. The hanging bridges were fun and gave us unparalleled views and camera angles over the canopy. If you really love the nature, skip the amusement park-like zip-line tour and take your own memorable hike through the canopy over the hanging bridges. Your photo viewers will thank you!

This is a very physical day and you need to be somewhat fit, especially to enjoy it. Bring very comfortable shoes and hiking wear, and very comfortable water shoes. You will be climbing up and down hundreds of stairs, some of which are very steep and lots of hills. Sometimes the rocks are slick. You must be careful. The guide provided a walking stick at the volcano view. I don’t know how I would have made it down without it. That being said, it is a great day. Each of the four activities is an excursion of itself. We thought the highlight was the waterfall. I would suggest doing that as a separate excursion. The Hot Springs were good, but I would have rather spent more time at the waterfall at expense of the springs. The guide is essential at the hanging bridges as he will spot things along the route before you and they communicate with each other on what they saw. The springs are great, but avoid a very rainy day as it is actually a river and they will close the access to the springs if it becomes overflowed. They will keep the pool open though, which is really cool. Make sure you explore all the different spring pools as they’re All unique and the temperature will vary the higher you go. A full days adventure, and ending at the springs is the perfect way to end.

Let me start by saying this tour is 5 stars but DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE NOT IN DECENT SHAPE LOL. I mean book these excursions but if you have time do it on different days. Our tour started at 7 we had Oscar and he was amazing! We did all 6 hanging bridges which was a 2 mile hike then proceeded to the water fall.. those 500 steps “532” to be exact were not for the weak. I personally struggled on the way back and I’m 5’1 170 lbs. I felt bad holding the group up but Oscar stayed with me the entire way. We stopped by the a restaurant for lunch and it was Amazing we then proceeded to do the volcano tour by which time we were exhausted lol but the view was nice we then ended in the Tabacon springs which were beautiful!! Honestly all places were amazing but I would do the waterfall and springs on a different day to fully enjoy. Hope this review helps you!!

Although you can almost do all the activities by yourself, I totally recommend booking full day tour with them. Our guide, Franco, was fun and knowledgeable. He made the day much more enjoyable. They take care of all the little details and arrange a full day of activities stress-free and worry-free (they picked us up from hotel 8am and dropped off around 9pm).

I submit request for 3 adults for 2/24 and my cart comes up with 2/23 repeatedly. Had I clicked without looking I would have been livid. Does this mean there’s no availability for 2/24?

Hello, myself and my mum are very interested in doing one of these tours however, we will be staying at Finca Luna Nueva Lodge (which seems to be about 30 mins away?).......would this still be ok to be picked up for the tour?

Hi there! So when we booked our tour, there was a VERY long list of resorts/hotels that they had as pick-up/drop-off locations. If your hotel isn't on that list, you can have the travel agency verify that they can pick you up there. There were people that were staying at AirBNB's around the area, but the tour guides are so familiar with La Fortuna, that they can essentially drop you off wherever you need to go (as long as it's not too far away). I'm not sure what their limit would be, but they covered a pretty long distance with all of the different groups on the tour. I'm certain they would try to accommodate you, but it doesn't hurt to know ahead of time for peace of mind.
